I think I just placed the last order of 2013. Really maxed out SingPost 4USD shipping in terms of weight and purchase amount limit. :s13:

That's the sanest view so far.

You know the NS mantra: Do whatever you want just don't get caught.

Based on Gala's reasoning everyone should be safe with referral codes with no links until someone kicks the hornet's nest.

If you promote iHerb and your code around other sub-forums then you're just asking for it.

Let's face it, we're here to keep this forum running smoothly and by the same token, the other mods and admins will let us do our own thing because they have other things to do. Until someone escalates this up to their attention as what happened recently.

I've removed mine because there're so many regular iHerb customers here that the referral code is at the point of diminishing returns.

As I also post on other sub-forum quite regularly, is it okay I put my code in my main message rather than signature, since putting it in siggy will show up on other sub-forum. :o

This is my latest hoot received this afternoon. It took the same 7 days to be delivered by SingPost as my previous purchase. :s12:

Do try the extra virgin coconut oil and share how you like it. I found it ok if I add it to my pasta. But when I took it raw, it just tasted like machine oil (not that I have tasted machine oil but that's the immediate connection I made).

We have some other members here who love the raw taste of coconut oil so I am wondering whether it is just this brand that tastes like machine oil or... :s8:

Well, the soap isn't really that huge and if not for the "freebie" offer, I would not even consider it. It is just too expensive for a small soap. Keep it for your travels.

As for the Dr Woods, since there is no specific promo for it and if I am not wrong, you have a lot of other soaps to finished up, just KIV it until you need it. I am sure it would still be there. For me, I needed something to resolve or at least doesn't mess with my eczema.

Yeah, good advice as always. :)

Btw I was looking at maca again. The bottle looks nice as I have mentioned so I was thinking of getting it for a friend. Then I notice the "This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm."

I looked at the slightly more expensive organic version and it says "This product contains natural or other ingredients, one or more of which is listed by the State of California as a carcinogen and / or reproductive toxicant." The organic version looks even more dangerous.

Any idea whether this is a life flo issue or a general maca thingy? I checked my thompson maca description and there is no relevant mention (which ofc does not automatically mean it is in the clear).

(And this means I can't get it as a present since any recipient reading that will likely get all jittery. :o)

You are right I eating wood. It's from the inner bark of the Slippery Elm tree :)

Slippery elm is quite effective. My mum suffers from heartburn regularly and on the day my first slippery elm arrived, she was in pain. I made her a cup of slippery elm tea and it was almost instant relief.

From what I understand from
Maca and Birth Defects?

It appears that there is a ridiculous law in California which requires the manufacturers to include that disclaimer on the bottle because there is a possibility that it may contain lead. And lead is something which is found naturally in soil.

I supposed that if your friend is no trying to get pregnant, it is not going to be of the slightest risk.

See http://oehha.ca.gov/prop65/background/p65plain.html OEHHA proposition 65 (California)

Interesting. I think I am one of those weird persons who cannot stand the smell and taste of coconut. But it certainly is very atas.

Last time, we used to buy the ready made fried shallots until some unsubstantiated rumors were going around which claims that factory made shallots were crispy because they melted plastic straws into it. I am still trying to convinced my mum that wasn't true as the authorities here will never let those be sold here.

hey paiseh ah
the shallot hor, in ntuc is marketed as what?
i made a trip today and couldnt find it... is it the baby red onion or something

Just read this on the bbc about Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce.

I remember someone here ordered it before. Is it that good?

California health regulators have put a temporary hold on shipments of Sriracha, a spicy sauce that has gained a devoted following in the US, says Aidan Lewis

Hee Hee. I am not the only one getting hemp products. Even Dr woods comes with hemp oil. :s22:

I was actually quite surprised to find cannabis incense sold in Singapore. It's still there somewhere and I haven't finished it as I don't quite like its smell.

I wonder if it is the real thing. :s8:

Hmm... but is there always lead in soil?

Yes I think she wouldn't mind getting pregnant again... :p

That said, if you tell a 60 year old man (or 70 for that matter) that taking a supplement will make him infertile, the chance is very high that he will rather not take it. :s13:

I was actually more worried about the carcinogenic part though since I am taking maca from thompson myself...

I think they call it Fried Onions. My parents called it "Chang Choo La" that crispy fried onion bits, you put on porridge.

Actually, I do sleep early, most of the time at about 10ish pm then had to get up around 3ish or 4ish to pee. So might as well check the emails and forums and go back to sleep again till about 5ish before I go down do some walking (exercise) before starting the work day.

I did order it out of curiosity. I wouldn't say that it is better than some of the chilli sauce we can get there. I guess we are quite fortunate that we can get chilli sauce easily here, perhaps it is not so in the US.

One thing is that the sriracha chilli does not come loaded with gum or starch like the maggi chilli sauce and resembles more the homemade variety where minced chilli is cooked with vinegar, sugar and a few spices. I actually prefer the ABC Sambal Asli chilli from Sheng siong.
