samsung smart tv (f7500) can receive DVB 2 signal via hdb antenna (scv point) :D

How do you get it? My LG TV(LN570T ) also has T2 tuner, connected to SCV point but during auto tuning of it didn't receive anything. Did you received all T2 and T channels? :)

This is confusing... hdb antenna and scv point are two different things.

mrsun18 is right. I also have F7500 but no T2 signal when connected to SCV point. My HDB antenna point was removed during reno so can't test.

For older HDB flats, scv point can be connected to either roof top antenna or SCV cabling..

By default for older HDB flats, SCV point is connected to roof top antenna..

If one has subscribed to SCV programme before, the SCV point has been switched from roof top antenna to SCV cabling.

It is only possible if your cable point is routed to rooftop MATV antenna. But for most of us cable point are SCV-certified, meaning connected to SCV network, thus can only receive TV signal from StarHub infrastructure, thus only have analogue and DVB-C digital channels.

using adapter for the starhub cable to tv point connector.

Disconnected the cable from the starhub point, screw in this adapter and connected to the hdb tv point. TV can receive all the mediacorp channel in digital.

Which button do I press on the remote? I tried pressing all buttons, including TTX, to no avail.

FYI.......

Singapore — Teletext, an analogue information service provided by MediaCorp, will be discontinued from Sept 30 due to “declining usage”, said MediaCorp.

“Given the antiquated technology, the availability of alternative sites for information and the declining usage of Teletext, we have decided to discontinue the service and channel resources to newer services to better serve our customers and reach a wider audience,” said Mr Philip Koh, Managing Director for Convergent Media, MediaCorp.

Teletext provides general information on news, stock prices, airport, weather and other text-based information.

Over the years, technological advancements have enabled information to be readily accessible online, via mobile devices as well as connected television and outdoor screens, said a MediaCorp statement. These newer digital platforms have seen growth in usage, while the number of users of the non-interactive Teletext service has declined over the years. CHANNEL NEWSASIA

All signal from StarHub strictly DVB-C (C for Cable). You can record any channels that you subscribe to, given using HubStation/HD STB with Smart TV.

Besides neighbourhood hardware store, you can get it from Courts, Best Denki, Challenger, Homefix, etc. ~$2.7 each. Not worth your time and transport to go all the way to sls unless you happen to work or live (no you don't, I know) around there.
