Heard from courts salesman only lg and sony tv got dvb-t2...

Is that true?

Should not always trust the salesman, sometime they smoked us just to buy certain products that benefited them. Buyer should always do their homework first before hitting the retail stores.

Even if Starhub follow Singtel in launching HD, subscribers still need to have the HD box in order to watch HD right? The old box cannot watch HD even if Starhub launch free HD.

Sorry, I would like to ask a noob question.

With the receiver shown, would I still need an indoor antenna if I have a dvb-t2 TV?

Which of these combination will work?
antenna -> dvb-t2 tv

MATV point -> dvb-t2 tv
MATV point -> set top box -> antenna (needed?) -> dvb-t tv

SCV point -> set top box -> antenna (needed?) -> dvb-t tv
SCV point -> set top box -> antenna (needed?) -> dvb-t2 tv
SCV point -> receiver(??) -> dvb-t2 tv

I intend to get LG 42LN570T (dvb-t2)
But if the setup is as cumbersome as a dvb-t tv, was wondering if getting a 42LN5100 (dvb-t) and use the saving to get a receiver/settop box make sense?

Greatly appreciate some advice.

You will be able to receive the signals these ways:

Antenna -> dvb-t2 tv
MATV point -> dvb-t2 tv
MATV point -> dvb-t2 set top box -> any tv

Singtel Miotv set top box -> any tv (soon)
SCV point -> Starhub Cabletv HD set top box -> any tv (soon)
