Wanted to share a little something...

I emailed Perx regarding whether a Windows Phone app would be launched. The reply came back as:

"We are currently working on the launch of a new, updated app. And we hope this will incorporate the use of the app on Windows phones."

Bros, anyone tested how battery life is with Glance-On and Glance-Peek compared to Glance-Off?

just upgraded from lumia 800 to 1020...

during wp7 and zune, i can automatically sync all my videos and photos to my pc.

how to do the same for wp8? that "windows phone app" only has sync from desktop to phone. i want phone to desktop so can backup my photos.

also how to check if the wp8 has all the latest updates?

There's a phone to desktop photo/video backup option for the 'Windows Phone' app on Windows 8. I'm not sure about the client for Windows 7..

Wah! Finally!

To really enjoy the phone, get a case to wrap around the camera bulge or else it's uncomfortable to hold.

To learn how to maximize the camera, goto my blog if you haven't already done so.

AFAIK, all Lumia 1020 in Singapore should be getting Nokia Black already. Goto Extras+info to see if it's Nokia Black.

Screen capture is Power + Home button. Most other stuff are the same from WP7.

my windows store is acting up. it shows there's an update, e.g for Hill Climb Racing

after i click update, it switches to the download page then the update disappears without anything happening. this has been occuring for a few days. lol..

mmm, this occurred to me when I was trying to update an app too. It so happens that when I first downloaded the app, my region was set to US. After that I set my region to Sg to continue using. And when the update came, it disappeared after clicking on update too.


The problem was resolved when I switch the region back to US and then click on the download. After I just switch the region back to SG again.


A bit troublesome, but the problem can be resolve this way.

ya.... most outlets no longer stock the phone.

you better go to the starhub community (ie. official forum) and get the CSO to check which outlets have the phone and get him to reserve one for you.

don't bother calling up to check cos i have already experienced on more than one occasion whereby the info provided by the call operator do not tally with the info provided by the on-site staff.

mmm, this occurred to me when I was trying to update an app too. It so happens that when I first downloaded the app, my region was set to US. After that I set my region to Sg to continue using. And when the update came, it disappeared after clicking on update too.


The problem was resolved when I switch the region back to US and then click on the download. After I just switch the region back to SG again.


A bit troublesome, but the problem can be resolve this way.

i don't really think it applies here cos hill climb racing was free. so i don't think i changed region to US to download it. haha. i'll give a try over the weekend when i have time, thanks for the suggestion!

with glance off the battery can achieve about 0.4% discharge an hour. i'm using glance peek now, it's about 1% an hour. don't dare to use glance-interval yet after the last horrible try i had before updating to black & gdr3

how come you know the discharge rate?

there is some app to keep track of battery usage like the one in android?

Thanks! So it seems Glance-Peek more than doubles the standby battery consumption...
