Just checking, whats the setting you guys are using for your Aztech-7002 router? Example channels for your 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. And is anyone facing bad connection especially in the night using wifi? I'm on 300Mbps plan but getting only 50-60Mbps in the night..

Use 5Ghz wi fi.

how much monthly?

inclusive of homeline?

what speed?

200Mbps is $49.90 and 300Mbps is $59.90.

Include 1 digital home line plug into the ONT. For me I use a spilter in order to haver 2 phones (like parallel line).

If possible wait for PC Show 2014. Better offer may pop up.

This promotion is extended from last IT show promotion. In Sitex 2013, 7 mths waive for 300Mbps. Most video streaming servers are slow server so may not be able to got actual download speed of 300Mbps unless use a vpn and download manager. Even Watch online most server is below 100Mbps as too many people watching and accessing the site. In fact some video stream can stream with handphone mobile BB speed of < 40Mbps but not all sites.

im getting only 30mbps on wifi on my ipad 2 and ipad3.. is this normal? this is tested just beside the router itself with no obstruction.
with my htc one m8 i am getting 60mbps. i assume it is due to the m8 being able to utilise 2 bands for double the speed?
am on singtel 300mbps btw. wired conntection is ok.

Single band is ~ 30 Mbps+ and dualband is ~60 Mbps+. Normal.

No. Singtel guidelines is 40-70mbps for 7000 router. They will replace/upgrade router if it's below that speed.

Yes but 40-70 mbps is for notebook speed and not for mobile phone speed as mobile has less resources and speed will be slower ~ 30mbps so it is normal. Unless notebook speed is below 40mbps then they change the router. Support will come with their own new notebook and check the wifi speed with their notebook and if they can not get 40mbps then they change the router and they do not check using phone. If support able to get 40mbps but your notebook can not then they say it is your own notebook issue.

is it actually the limit of the router? i thought it was capable of up to 300mbps on wireless..

This 7002 router if wired can support up to very fast speed because Gigabyte ethernet. For wireless 2.4 N is 40-70 Mbps and 5 N can get 100Mbps on an average notebook. It is mobile phone limitation. My note 2 is 30Mbps+ on 2.4N and 5Ghz N is 60Mbps+ so it is normal. 60Mbps is not slow on a mobile phone. In fact 30M+ is sufficient for a phone to have a smooth video streaming of movie in HD or even FHD format. Already happy with HD and above on my phone. Never watch SD one.

Your note 2 and router internet connection something wrong.

My note 2 can hit above 40 easy on single band
Suggest you change phone, router or ISP

ST support came and check say it is normal as mobile phone has less resources so can be slower. I also checked with Samsung and confirm that it is normal ~ 39Mbps and performance vary from user to user. Dual band my Note 2 ~ 58Mbps to Bangkok. My netbook and gamer notebook are able to get 40Mbps or more easily. Video streaming from USA, Hong Kong and Europe are great with no lag at all. Very stable network.

Even for ST mobile BB also fast and stable. Able to get 66Mbps for local speed with 7% battery life left.

Quick question - the 7002 router, anyway to schedule the wifi on/off? Would like to switch it auto off at sleeping time without physically shutting down. Can't seems to find the option after login as admin.
