LOL Piers Morgan just collected another 50k pounds for his charity from Alan Sugar.

Next year Spurs will try new approach for a CL spot.

They have decided that it's easier to gain a CL spot thru winning the Europa League than finishing top 4 in the BPL.

They'll b surprised tat winning Europa nt easy as they think...

Giroud has scored 21 goals out of 48 games this season... I'm not a stats person but that sounds pretty commendable right?

You sure ?
Thought Cech supposed to have a dislocated shoulder leh.

Even if he recovers fully, they must be damn brave/crazy/desperate to play a keeper who had a dislocated shoulder one week before in a CL semi final.

We all know Giroud is not a top top class striker.

But don't use the fact that he has a poor record against top club to dig him.

Cos the golden boot winner, PFA player of the year also has similar record against top clubs :s13:

that strike rate is just "not bad" for a striker.
but if ya in Arsenal as the leading striker, you should be getting 6 or 7 in 10. that's the difference to winning matches and securing that extra few points. maybe even a trophy.

Wenger definitely knows this. hence the bid for suarez. we must get another top striker to complement or sub giroud.

Similarly don't say Ozil has a poor record against big clubs.

The PFA player of the year has a poor record against big clubs as well.

Basically this Arsenal team has a poor record against big clubs !!!

Especially if playing an away match on early kick off !!!

The thrashing by Citeh, Cheslki, Pool and Everton were all away early kick off game.

Why ?

Mental problem ?
Training timing ?
Meal time ?
Rest time ?

Better make sure it won't happen again next season.

Now got news that Arsenal considering selling Joel Campbell to Olympiakos on a permanent basis ?

Why ?

If Walcott will not be ready for beginning of next season, we really need a pacy winger.

Seems like Ah seng never likes Campbell anyway but then why buy him in the first place ?
Unless the purchase was done by someone else.

We will make some money if he is really sold but the whole saga is just a waste of time.

Lol just because Giroud scores some goal in random games doesnt make him a class striker. And what low levels have we stooped to by comparing Giroud to Suarez. The former isnt even half of what the latter is.

Ill take benzema/sturridge/rvp/dzeko over Giroud anyday. eff it i rather play walcott in giroud's position than giroud himself

LOL Giroud with his flinks with the hot women we know why he couldn't perform in those early matches.

But what about the rest of the team ?

Mert talked about it openly after the Pool game but still the same outcome with the Chelski and Everton game.

are u serious to even compare suarez with giroud? Liverpool record against the top 4 and manure wasn't half as bad as us. Don't forget suarez was indirectly involved in the goals scored against the teams u mentioned. Giroud is just hopeless

Wow, i am amazed u actually blame the thrashings which arsenal suffered due to the early kick off timing.

If that is true, is it every early kick off timing, the away team will be thrashed?

it's a pretty decent record for a striker in a season and there's still 3 more games left including FA final so maybe he can still hit around ~23ish.

However, like what others have pointed out, he should have been hitting higher figures given the number of quality balls being fed to him. Also, the number of chances he created for himself and his finishing have let him and the team down so many times.

In a team like arsenal, the midfield quality is there for you to take advantage but it isn't happening on a frequent basis for him. He is a good striker, but not a world class one or one capable of taking us to mount for trophies on all front, period. Cavani is the type of striker that we so badly missed and i really hope miracle is bestowed and someone of his quality comes into our team next season.

Glad to have Metsut Ozil back in the team.

Arsenal had 14 corner kicks whereas Newcastle had none.

62% vs 38% possession

yes indeed, yesterday's game was really more or less an unexpected walkover on newcastle. they had no confidence and looked clueless on the pitch. In their current league position, they had nothing much to fight for and were in a losing streak.

however, based on previous away matchup earlier this season where we came out with a hardfought 1-0 victory, most expected another game of similar intensity and resilience from newcastle... thankfully everything went well and in our favour yesterday. our players were in generally good form, back 4 were pretty solid, key players ramsey and ozil made huge impacts and newcastle were just firing blanks.

other than a couple of good chances that they had especially the one with remy's run in... they were absolutely dominated by us yesterday.

we probably could have come out with a 5-0 scoreline yesterday; krul made one major save shortly after our 1st goal, and podolski nearly slot one into the far post at the left from ozil's cutback.

I'm just saying Suarez didn't score against the big teams as well since you brought out the fact that Giround didn't score against the big teams.

And basically the team sucks against the big teams, not only Giroud.
