Giroud has scored 21 goals out of 48 games this season... I'm not a stats person but that sounds pretty commendable right?
it's a pretty decent record for a striker in a season and there's still 3 more games left including FA final so maybe he can still hit around ~23ish.
However, like what others have pointed out, he should have been hitting higher figures given the number of quality balls being fed to him. Also, the number of chances he created for himself and his finishing have let him and the team down so many times.
In a team like arsenal, the midfield quality is there for you to take advantage but it isn't happening on a frequent basis for him. He is a good striker, but not a world class one or one capable of taking us to mount for trophies on all front, period. Cavani is the type of striker that we so badly missed and i really hope miracle is bestowed and someone of his quality comes into our team next season.
Glad to have Metsut Ozil back in the team.
Arsenal had 14 corner kicks whereas Newcastle had none.
62% vs 38% possession

yes indeed, yesterday's game was really more or less an unexpected walkover on newcastle. they had no confidence and looked clueless on the pitch. In their current league position, they had nothing much to fight for and were in a losing streak.
however, based on previous away matchup earlier this season where we came out with a hardfought 1-0 victory, most expected another game of similar intensity and resilience from newcastle... thankfully everything went well and in our favour yesterday. our players were in generally good form, back 4 were pretty solid, key players ramsey and ozil made huge impacts and newcastle were just firing blanks.
other than a couple of good chances that they had especially the one with remy's run in... they were absolutely dominated by us yesterday.
we probably could have come out with a 5-0 scoreline yesterday; krul made one major save shortly after our 1st goal, and podolski nearly slot one into the far post at the left from ozil's cutback.
