not really true ley.. i got my card on like 4th may.. then activate same day.. then i calld and ask, cso say my statement cycle is 23rd of every month...
Maybe your spending from 5 may to 22 may does not qualify for any rebate ?

i call the service center to make the cycle started from the beginning of the month, say from 2nd of the month. In this case i'm confident whatever auto-deduct payment that i initiate later would fall on the same cycle. before that my cycle started at 25th. one of my auto deduct made a deduction on 26th, and made the next deduction on 25th for following month. I end up under spent because both auto deduct counted for the same month.

for myself, i pay my m1, internet and insurance with my UOB one automatically month. which is close to $300. so monthly i will still sign another 1 time, about $50, then no need worry if will hit $300 anot, cos sure hit

i would authorise one more bill under the uob one bill payment service so that the amount spent per month on this card will be more than $300/month.

this month i forgot to "clock-in" one more transaction to make it $300. there goes my $30 quarterly rebate. sianz! :(:s8:

Yes.

That's why I am cancelling this crappy card once i get my $30 for next month. Damn ley chey to track, not worth the effort. And unless you zhun zhun spend $300 every month, the rebate won't be truly 3.33%..

Paywave

Just wanted to check, do transactions by paywave also contribute to the 300 a month? Coz I kind of use paywave sometimes for the smaller amounts.

Based on what you guys are saying, for any amount above the minimum S$300 a month I spend on this card, I do not get the normal 0.5% rebate?

Yes paywave transactions count. Above $300 you get no additional rebate unless you hit $800. Then you have to maintain $800 for all 3 months. If the 1st month of the quarter you didn't make $800 dont bother.

How about paying large ticket items by installment using this card. Does the monthly amount qualify for rebate calculation ?

this card allows you to charge every single thing under the sun. the catch is only about monitoring or charging items that are regular in nature, so you keep to the 300/800/1500 quota.

for me it takes small effort to monitor. once hit, then i swing other expenses to either my frank card (to hit $500), cimb card (1% on everything) or manhatten if i expect any major expenses.

so far so gd. it all depends whether you enjoy the kick out of doing this. some pple dun like to micro manage, so it becomes a chore.

to some, it's hard and tedious to track spendings to e One card. but like what shanhz said, everything under e sun. installments too. no other bullcrap like min. 500 spending, amount at least $50, or only online/retail spending etc.

only thing is to make sure hit e required amount at least 1 week before statement cut off. miss e rebates few times because of 1 or 2 transactions posted late.

For the uob one card rebate, my colleague said that the "monthly" spend is not according to the calander month but is according to the card billing cycle.

What is this card billing cycle for uob one?

To apply for the uob one card, can i just go to a uob branch and open straight away?
