japanese model, coe ending in 3 weeks time, person takeover to renew COE

very good condition, stock, serviced at AD since day 1, very regular servicing

interior - air con strong and powerful, leather good condition

smooth engine, smooth gearbox

mileage around 265,000 km

looking at just $18.5k (PARF @ almost $16k)

can't bear to scrap as condition is so good :(

with CAT B coe so expensive, who wants to takeover this car and renew COE? no logic right

That's why no need to service ur car like a religion. Making sure it's working, then ok. You still have to scrap it no matter how good it is. Haha.

depends loh, lets say PQP @ 65k, + 18k, means 83k

yearly dep is @ 8.3k/yr

when i bought it in 2004, when COE was quite reasonable @ around 30k, the dep already need 9k/yr :s13:

but most likely exporting the car :s22:

just clarifying..

i thought when one renew their coe, they are giving up the PARF rebate?

Towards the end of.my car life i only change oil n filter. Hopping it last till end cos just make sure.can run can already.

Alot of other price for car after 10yrs.. higher road tax, higher servicing price and to drive for another 10 yrs means the model will be very outdated...

saw the new camry in orchard this morning and it looks gd.

another possible way is to extend with 5yrs COE. if next round of Cat B is 60k, then the PQP for 5 yrs shall b abt 38k.
