if you are not selling z2, what's the con of fast product launch??? your z2 features won't disappear when z3 out. you can still enjoy your z2 =)

Sony Xperia Z3 Specs: There has been a lot of talk recently about the Sony Xperia Z3 and what the device might offer when it has been announced.

Speculation points to the handset arriving with the new octa-core 3.1 GHz processor, which could be the Snapdragon 810. We did hear that Sony could be giving the device as much as 4GB of RAM; this is due to the fact that the Xperia Z2 has 3GB of RAM. The display may be 5.4 inches and it could have the 2k resolution along with the White Magic LCD display.


Rumour has it that it could have a 50MP camera 7 lens, Xenon and LED flash, with a 1/1 sensor size. It may also come with an 8MP camera on the front for video chatting. The battery is thought to be in the region of around 4000mAh and this would be non-removable LiPo. The Xperia Z3 could be offered in a choice of 32GB and 64 internal memory storage and it would have the same dust and waterproofing as the Z2.

It may support SD card up to as much as 256GB, have dual band Wi-Fi and of course have all the pre-installed apps of Sony. The camera could feature low light, while picture stabilisation could be offered along with optical image stabilisation and optical video image stabilisation. The camera could support 4k video recording at 60 fps and 1080p at 120fps.

really??? I only heard it is a 1TB RAID5 storage with 12 months battery life, life-proof IP999 phone that weights 10mg with saphhire and graphene materials with 10 camera sensors of 1gigapixel and 200x optical OIS zoom and ISO 512,000 at S$169 no contract.

Agreed. It's like at work having the best specs laptop does not it mean you can come out with a fantastic proposal or presentation than your colleagues. It entirely up to individual to be able to perform the same task with whatever resources you have.

A phone isn't all just for making phone calls, sending text messages and surfing the web or sometimes playing games or music only? Need so high specs for what?

The current phone specs is already overkill for most apps and most apps can't even support full hd screen resolution yet.

Snapdragon 810 @ 3Ghz is totally NOT possible THIS year. More over, this will only be out next yr and doubt it will be running 3Ghz. The most 2 or 2+ Ghz. Expect to see this maybe in Z5 or later.

I will expect Z3 to offer snapdragon 805.

50MP??? I dun think so. Oppo find 7 is using a sony sensor and it pwns everyone else. Sony just need to improve on that. They have great sensor but how it is been used in their mobile is a disappointment so far.

Hey, if you are satisfied with your z2 then by all means. Most people would be sore if the flagship and latest model that they are holding is replaced by a newer model in a much faster pace of 6 months. Usually its a year no?

we probably wouldn't even see half of that in the Z3
I would think the z3 to be an incremental upgrade from the Z2, and the Z4 to be the next major upgrade

True bro but there are way more who dont own z2 which will get z3. Most business out there now only look towards short term profit margin and not long term customer retention. Its a whole different market which is fast and dynamic unlike for example automobiles.

Besides the slightly faster processor, 4k video, seriously not much change from z1 to z2 user.
Probably for z to z2 user, like S upgrade for iphone users like 4 to 4S, 5 to 5S.

If its a z3, will probably get it if the upgrade is more than just the current specs of z2 which is too minor for most z1 users.

Sony half year cycle?. Z2 announce on Feb but till to date not many country can get the stock. Then Announce Z3 soon and wait another half year to get. So it still 1 year cycle. Just made u wait and wait and wait . What the different?

Did a quick Google Search. Xperia Z launched in Singapore on 1 Mar 2013, Z1 launched in SG on 4 Oct 2013, and Z2 launched in SG on 5 Apr 2014. Sure looks like a half year cycle, don't you think?

Other than having prolonged bragging rights for having the "latest" Sony flagship, I'm quite ok with a half year refresh cycle. Just means that if I were to change my Z2 to another Xperia in 2 years time, it will be the Z6 instead of the Z4 !

I still have 7 months left on my contract anyway
