if use the tw sim card. then cant use whatsapp, viber since the account is linked with our local hp no.

if you are using the same HP/mobile that has whatsapp installed with your sg mobile no, you can. the taiwan sim merely serves to provide the data connection.

only if you want to activate your sg no for whatsapp on another new device with the towns Sim in, then you can't, unless you still have a way to receive sms on your sg number.

this is exactly what I am doing whenever I travel overseas. using my same whatsapp acc but data connection from a foreign prepaid Sim.

Upon opening whatsapp with new sim card inserted, do not click YES to new registration. Then your local sg/my number will remain in your phone.

If you click yes, ur friends and family members will see your new/alien number when you whatsapp them.
