ok, i'll answer yr qn. The name of the school doesn't matter, it's the student that matters. If u think positive, u won't feel that yr sch is inferior to another. If u think negative, then u will always feel bad abt yr sch even u r a havard student cos there'll be child prodigies out there who learnt uni maths at the age of 10. Why bother abt (the alma mater of) others? It wouldn't help u anyway except make u feel inferior

I have a feeling that u r a materialistic person in yr offline life, u seem so obsessed with branding and image. University of London sounds quite atas I think, don't u agree?

Yes,the name of UOL is damn atas, ask your children(in the future) to enrol in it and tell them that it is the student that matters. They have to think positively and everything will be alright.

hmm ok i understand the part of going back to pen and paper. ya i mean like using the tablet for reading notes and stuff maybe writing stuff. like more portability compared to laptop.

So was it worth it for you to get a tablet? your note 10.1 cost how much and can do what? cause i was thinking of microsoft rt surface 2. i dk which is good that's why.

yes really worth it to get a tablet.
i never printed a single past year paper and some of my notes, with all my files stored in dropbox, i have all the files with me all the time. really helped me when i was doing past 8 to 10 years of past year papers..
i would say go for tablet, because portable,quick startup,(spen)cheaper than laptop?

note 10.1 costed me about 600+ with recontract, i think price reduced now.
can write notes >got amazing android apps for that,write on top/take notes on the pdf files. can do all other stuff would expect of a tablet? lol

not sure microsoft rt surface 2. consider the availability of apps for windows rt..i think better off going for mid range tablet.
and please dont ever buy surface pro..with that price range you are better of getting a proper laptop or macbook air.

at risk of being sucked into this bottomless whirlpool of discussions:

imo, i think we used the word "second-best" too loosely, conveniently, carelessly and this may be the reason it sparked the debate.
what it really is is that the school is a private institution encompassing various universities and multiple disciplines. that's really it.

what the uol course really provides is an education, knowledge, a degree, a cert (or da bian zhi as people call it), a key to a certain door that you have set foot to unlock. we're all here to educate ourselves, in hope of landing with better jobs, pay and life.

the sheer negativity , and often delusion and biased references and baseless comparisons from the previous posts.

round the bush pointless bickering aren't helping the slightest bit; somebody needs to take the high road and stop it.

SIM foodcourt at lvl 3 or blk b basement there got quite a number of nice food like souperlicious etc....

Hopefully block C will have another food outlet... Now part of the basement of block B (area with souperlicious and the study area) has glassed paned walls allowing you to look out into the foyer of block C, where previously it was just white walls.
