Manchester United vice-chairman Ed Woodward has broken his silence over the sacking of David Moyes.

Woodward admits it was the toughest call of his career.

"I can't think of any bigger (decision)," he said. "It is certainly the most important role in the club by some distance and we didn't take the decision lightly. It was a difficult decision.

"It was a challenging year. In an ideal situation, I would have worked with (Sir) Alex (Ferguson) for a year. But now there is a lot more positivity."

Manchester United vice-chairman Ed Woodward says they have the spending power to break the British transfer record.

United have paid upwards of £50million for Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera, but as has been the case for the last few years, the biggest transfers have taken place away from Old Trafford this summer.

Woodward said: "It is in our capabilities. The club are not afraid of doing that - spending significant amounts of money in the transfer market.

"Whether it's a record or not doesn't really resonate with us.

"What resonates is a top, top elite player that the manager wants that is going to be a star for Manchester United.

"We are in a very strong financial position. We can make big signings.

"'I get pointed in the direction of a target that the manager wants and there is an assessment of what that might cost and I'll negotiate hard to do the best I can on the trade."

Ah Gaal showed Woody the Map of Europe and point to Italy, Germany and Spain..

Ah Gaal :". Good Woody boy, go and fetch Vidal, Hum and Di Mara... Go boy go!"

Training is underway at the Rose Bowl

BtMhYuFIMAAgP8W.jpg

Around 2,500 paying customers sat in the stands at the 90,000-capacity Rose Bowl on Tuesday just to watch the squad train. A crowd of over 70,000 is expected for the match itself.

I wunder how much they paid,,,,

I thought it shall go by optional of push up or pull up. I personally prefer latter as my average around 8, is more than 5 points for my age group. No issue of 3 or 5 stations as i am confident to pass all.
As for push up,i am fine too but may not do fast within stipulated time. Sigh...

Now they make IPPT easy to pass good for people. If not , a lot of new gen NSman die during IPPT.

But IPPT all the time easy to pass, just need do some training one week before the test.:)

Like that future soldiers who pass the test might not deemed super fit as well

For standing board jump, I could see many pple who cant jump far...they were jumping "Vertically " instead of throwing themselves forward..

chin up is another one where u have to train the right muscles.... it was my biggest struggle ....but the momentum of the first chin up is very important...dun repeat the mistake of Valencia... started well...but slow down to look left , right and centre and pass the ball back to midfield.

Sbj no problem for me, maybe cuz I play basketball almost everyday

It is not case of easy or difficult..
U r in full battle order and suddenly need to stand still and jump more than 2 meters?

What is the logic?

Even jumping across drain, we will do a few step runs to give ourselves some momentum or some "spring" effect.
