Monkey says and you believe ah? :s13: what 21TB? ..... mine in excess of 200TB loh :D it's only a small part of my storage arsenal that it's able to place on the desk area ....

My storage > the whole of VQ hands down :p

GPGT ~ Some of my storage arsenal

Got NAS still in the unboxed condition directly from Synology TW :D

Wow!! Thats incredible huge storage..... I bet the utility cost of running the whole NAS is high and wont u need power ventaliation to cool off the HDD?

So if anyone was wondering, just got my grubby mitts on the Amazon Fire TV (a little late to the party) and you can sideload APKs to it easily!

- PPTV works great
- P****** T*** works great with *720p
- Plex works great at maximum quality

:)

I shall start :s13:

ES series generally no issue. The mainstream desktop line... :s8:

The only thing i like about seagates is that they "soft crash" still allowing you to copy out data before it finally - DIES.

Downside is that i've seen 1 too many fail in my life time - especially losing a full 500GB HDD - that'll be remembered all my life.

So far - Seagates all banned by me.

i had 2 seagates before. both had bad sectors. lol.

i stick with hitachi now

Do you guys use the voice phone ?

Connected a normal DECT phone, expected better line quality....

On the other hand, the vqtv is really great, wife is loving it. Now I wish I have a 2nd unit for the master bedroom TV..

It's on the high side .... easily coming to 2000KWh per month at times + air conditioning :(

That's why I'm periodically consolidating what is needed to power up and the rest in the other room for archival storage ... and power up monthly to perform data scrubbing/SMART checks for signs of bad sectors and hard disks RMA.

Some of my NAS are on 24/7 besides power saving on, i hardly power them down unless hardware/power supply/fans/hard disks replacement/cleaning or on extended holidays.
