was supposed to be on VQ's 500mbps plan today but for some reason the zhone modem cannot be detected and the next available time slot given to me is friday. that's 1.5 days of "downtime".

oh well.. back to MR's 150mbps :/

Welcome to VQ, i just jumped over also. Similar mine was not able to detect, issue was due to OpenNet backend. VQ engineer went down to their colo today and fixed it. Kudos!
But now headache how to terminate MR's connection. Call and message at their web no response. tsk

VQ CS told me that they have to send an engineer to check my port and the zhone modem again. don't know whether it's hardware or opennet problem.

what i did with MR was i asked how long my contract left then i told them i want to request for termination when it ends.

First temptation

Have decided to expand the volume on one of my Synology NAS with a Synology DX513 expansion unit to tide me over the hard disk free space crunch for the time being.

I'm planning to phase out some of the 1TB hard disks for higher capacities ones + planning to retire the Intel Atom based NAS gradually + in mist of finalising the Intel Xeon NASes with 10GbE.

Presenting the stop gap solution

The Synology DX513

Have gotten 5x4TB WD Red as well (still $$/TB ratio) since it's going to tide me over if not i will hoot the 5x4TB WD Black (maybe for the Intel Xeon NASes)

3x shown here and 2x are coming in a couple of days, as it's what my supplier has left for me until the next stock replenishment.

Grandmothers probably can only operate the classic rotary dial phones. The current numeric keypad phone are probably too hard for them too.
