Its because of one particular app that doing this. Finding and deleting this app will solve the problem.. Try using SDMaid to isolate the rouge apk.. Like in my case.. Systemdownloader.apk is identified as a google app... So...
Try to compare with another phone all the .apks installed..

Check your data usage to see which app is using the Internet. You can do this by using the built-in ROM capablility (if your ROM has network tracking capability), an app that keeps track of network access, or simply by checking your app permissions.

You can use DroidWall (requires root) to turn off access to the internet for the suspected apps until you find the one that is causing the problem.

If you phone is rooted, you can simply freeze that app or delete it. Freezing is preferable as it can be easily restored in case something goes wrong. Try to make a Nandroid backup before doing anything.

Lobang for a cheeaaap 5-inch China phone

Hey guys.. I happened to see an offer on Qoo10 Daily Deals for a China made 5-inch Android smartphone going for only S$69. The ad for the phone however doesn't furnish much info/specs about the phone.. and there's only 1 pic of the phone (comes in black or white).

I called the nos of the seller (Red Bean Electronic Shop, located in the camera section of Audiohouse in Liang Court Shopping Ctr). I think a PRC guy answered cos his English was very weird sounding and hardly understandable so i spoke to him in Mandarin instead. He said the phone doesnt have a brand but is made in China. It has dual cameras, dual SIM and built-in wifi. It's 1.2-1.5 GHz and runs on Android 4. He said they have a demo set in their shop if I wanna take a look at the phone. He also said u can't purchase the phone right at the shop at the offer price of S$69 cos the offer is only for online order from Qoo10 during their Daily Deal offer. U can choose to have it delivered to u at a price or u can choose to pick it up at the shop itself (for free of course). If u choose to collect it urself, u will be issued an e-ticket when u order the phone (thru the Qoo10 ad) and u can use it to redeem for the phone at the shop itself. The phone comes only with a 7-day 1-to-1 exchange warranty. A free cover and screen protector will be given free.

If any of u guys happen to be around that area (Audiohouse Liang Court), maybe u'd like to check the phone out at the shop. I would also like to know more about the phone and how it looks like Lol....

Here's the link to the Qoo10 offer on the phone:- Qoo10 - Android 5.0 inch Smart Phone | Dual Sim Cards | Dual Camera | WiFi Ena... : MP3 / Mobile / e...

They are selling OEM rubbish.......can see another of their listing "Red Bean CH-U5", nothing more than a lowly specced oem/clone model that they brought in and renamed it after their shop. Since they dont even dare to post the full specs of the $69 model, i am willing to bet its a 512mb ram, 480x800 dual core model.

Dont need to bother...the only model worth mentioning is the TCL S720, supposedly selling at $179. But bear in mind they only have limited sets for sale per day and these electronic fairs have a history of using bait and switch tactics. Not worth wasting time, money and effort.

full hd screen dual sim 4.4 come with 10400 mercury powerbank. can support 64gb sd
they are known for their mercury cases for phones

sold by ray technology sim lim square or Oxley bizhub

my previous phone was Lenovo A830 after reset the google map and google translate don't work. another previous phone was Lenovo S939 using a lot china windows root apps can't break the Lenovo 4.4 firmware. and shuame when clicked on root tab in windows 8.1 update 1 x64 would become unresponsive. I gave up and ask my wife to sell both away in china

I also saw this mercury 3x selling at SLS. One of the shops quoted me $180 but i decided against buying since the chenna sales girl cant even answer simple question like whats the resolution of the phone. So are you able to list the REAL specifications of the phone?

what else you can list here, I fill in the blanks...

the original battery 2500mAh drains in three hours
additional battery $15

the full hd screen does not look like S4 full hd screen sharpness

the rear camera 3456 x 4608 pixels f/2.8
flash not bright/strong as I tested using the built in torch
front camera 3264 x 2448 pixels f/2.8

Wi-Fi strength average and no 5GHz band

the free battery is a copy of xiaomi 10400mAh. single usb port. the blue colour is very nice

yesterday I installed google camera but share function not available inside

to change from dalvik to art runtime not found in developer option. other phones in sg shops hardly have that option strangely also; the lg g3 the one with laser autofocus has

I exchanged to black colour, certainly looks nicer. the white colour phone's screen got black shadow parallel lines

it shows 4g for both sims although I do not have 4g sim/service
sim A is 3g mini sim
sim B is 2g micro sim. starhub ate me $22 while I tested speedtest merely few mb! help

as you know mt6595 is first mediatek chip with 4g but still not x64 chip. is it x86? max version of antutu can install is 4.4, refuses to install/update after download gplay, baidu app store, etc to 4.5.x

antutu and cpu-z can see 8 cores max 2.0GHz. somemore cpu-z can see mt6582, what!? screen resolution is fhd etc
antutu score is 35k!? mali-400 mp
antutu says it is rooted; antutu no root access?!

overall happy with purchase
previously staunchly refused to use sim adapters because can get stuck and damage pins but recently moved to tri-sim card and the noosy sim card adapters are very good, I recommend. one seller buy two get one free. each $1.99
Mustafa $1.20? quality?

since I have sent back my two lenovos to china, I am on look out for backup dual sim non Samsung phone. now I am not limited to mini sim because noosy adapters are very good
Huawei or oppo?

official Samsung shops now selling s4 9506 lte+ $549 with free powerbank, car power adapter, and car holder!

xiaomi redmi 1 connect to computer, computer can't see sd card as disk drive, but as something like iPhone, is that correct?

the ray technology shop in sim lim square that sales girl (wears black, no specs, pony tail, from china, English very good) that always sits there I get the impression that china phones are doing very badly in sg, they were very powerful for the ThL but latest models are no more selling. she did not introduce me to their mercury x3

new star very powerful for lenovos, main shop next to toilet on level #5, models on display looks like no new model. #04-60 pop up stall is no longer there

ch2 on level #3 escalator beside j2 (boss johnny) the sales girl just sat at the front of the shop did not serve me, perhaps was weekday

moreover mt6595 officially launched jul15,2014

thanks for the info. My main concern really is the specs for the phone. And yes, the supposed fhd screen dont look like one. I find the screen colours faded and the icons looks kinda pixelated, therefore i dont think its really full hd. Well, maybe its down the quality of screen used. Cant expect everything to be good for the price. One more thing i notice is that the phone is really really light, compare to say, xiaomi note which is smaller in screen size. Anyway, the place you bought at they did offer you 1 year distro warranty right? The shop at SLS told me the 1 year warranty have to claim at distro which is located at Ubi.

anyone used intel chip like Lenovo k900 or zenfone by asus? the 6" zenfone is really quick in my testing at starhub shop in bedok. the 5" zenfone is so-so in my testing in jb

xiaomi is cheap so materials used I think is heavier. my 6" Lenovo s939 3g 1.7GHz octa core is pretty light/lighter than my Lenovo a830 mt6589 1.2GHz

warranty they told me to go ubi also, but I would reckon sls can. same ray technology. also you saw sls selling?

When buying china sets from SLS have to be very careful. Some shops bring in OEM sets and then re-badged it to some branded name and sell it at high price. For example at this one shop i saw a "Huawei" octo core phone that looked exactly like a xiaomi note clone(even the UI looks like MiUi) so i ask for the model. The sales person told me and i did some research only to find that no such model exists. Also, things like antutu and cpu-z can be faked.

it is not the Huawei honor 3X?

nope cant be. The shop was selling the phone for $199 while 3x is selling for $400 outside. The person told me the model was j610 but huawei only has model g610, which is a very low end model. Anyway, is it possible to post a picture of your mercury x3 black color and the box it came with? Thanks.

I wanted to pay by cash but they say nets can and that almost gave them away. the receipt address or nets receipt address is #02-27 ray technology development. the yahoo article (april 2013) is unit 26 on level #2. I have the sim lim square book may-june 2013, they are star retailer - the unit #02-26 not #02-27 (fujiya hobby llp 98985625)

#01-07 Oxley bizhub 2
