Mannnn.. I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you got smth else that you like better though.

By any chance, are you a foreigner? Or are you a Singaporean/PR? I'm determined to find out why you didn't get in!! (It scares me a lil)

Haha this one is he don't know but by right if a public holiday falls on a weekend, the following weekday is an off day in NTU. :)

with all the tok on data sci and big data, ppl are probably jumpin on the bandwagon thus driving up the entry point so much... but unfortunately they may be confusing data science with biz analytics. biz analytics is a rojak course (stats+computing+biz) that does not really prepare you for a career in data sci.. it scarifies depth for breadth and thus lack rigorousity needed for data science, which btw usually need a master or phd.

if u wan to go into biz analytics bcos of data sci, den do a double deg/major in stats+computing instead. biz acumen can wait.

Tomorrow must wear smart casual (eg pole tee with jeans). That was what the email says.

Dear Freshmen,

please be reminded that the dress code for Freshmen Welcome Ceremony is smart causal (polo T-shirt and jeans) and covered shoes. Freshmen are requested to bring along forms of identifications (NRIC, Passport, etc) for registration on the day of the ceremony.
