How to spot iceberg on SGX?

I heard that iceberg can provide support and resistance for stock prices and they are pretty easy to spot.
Anyone can advise how to spot iceberg? :(

Hard to tell. Unless you are BB or you stare time/sales 24/7. Those who do know how to spot, I don't think they will be lingering here and share it for free. Lol

i have seen shares offer 3000 lots, bid 3000 lots, daily volume 800 lots. price is very unlikely to break the offer and bid price. Is this what you call ice berg?

Queue blocking. To accumulate or distribute without moving the price.

But how do they maintain both sides of the queue and still have a net change in their holdings?

If I am BB and i want to accumulate shares to 0.530, I will block off 0.535 by queuing 3000 lots at sell. Most retailers will see this queue and they will be reluctant to buy up into such a big sell queue. All the weak holders will start selling down to 0.530 as the think there's no way price is going to move up.

The BB may or may not actually own this 3000 lots. If he owns this 3000 lots he queued at sell, its probably from the accumulation he gotten at a lower price say 0.525.

If he does not own it, it becomes a short sell and he will cover back during matching. As long as there are very few buy ups, the loss is minimal.

P.S. A VERY SIMPLIFIED EXAMPLE.

I think i read somewhere... all BB got a mistress penny stock they support..
so the other BB (if not hostile) will not touch and play their own mistress only.

So if BB want to accumulate, he will sent out his minnions to start selling down to create an over supply in the market.
then.. when the momentum sets in, he will sent out his minnions to start buying the panic sellers.

That is how the support is form for the stock..

So I think the minnions will do their own calculation and as long as the target price achieve is below the VWAP , the BB make money and the minnions get bonus. Because the huge inventory of the BB was accumulated overtime at very low cost.. so they can afford to do this type of sell down ..buy up strategy.

Something along this line.. donno whether i got this correct..

Orh... have you got good experience applying Volume Price Action?

Not really. Easier said than done. Lol. Before you apply this , need to identify which are the counters prone this sort of manipulation. Not all counters behave the same way.

Is there even a need to compete?
Believe or not? small timer like us have more advantages than BB :o

no need to compete. just disadvantage.

Use the example. Big guy first thing in the morning queue
buy 0.5 3000 lots. sell 0.505 sell 3000 lots
End of day he may have bought 400 lots at 0.5 and sold 300 lots at 0.505.

for us small timers, must buy at 0.505 and sell at 0.5. disadvantage.
