I got my X8 a couple of days ago. I also bought the rubber bumper to help stop scratches during my learning phase :s8:

But...my X8 didn't come with any of those orange rubber pads for the sides where you grip with your legs. After a couple of hours it begins to hurt.

Does anyone know where I can get those on their own?

Bro, you can have the rubber bumper applied on the sides if you feel it helps. Some of us customise our rides with gel mouse pads, etc. Alternatively, get a calf guy, it will help esp when learning. Hope this helps. :)

eh bullfrog..

how to get on it without falling down huh...

hinata bro, the trick is to be not so tense and get some momentum to move off. Kiap-ing does help for a start but like bullfrog mention, bruises are common when picking up e-unicycling. Get a calf guard to alleviate the pain. :D

how I do it: (i left master leg. Do the reverse if you're right master leg)
Right leg on pedal, left leg on ground.
tilt airwheel at a comfortable angle to the left, with the left feet still on the ground and right feet on the airwheel, keeping it tilted at that angle.
Do a very slight push off, while at the same time bringing your left leg up and airwheel vertical. My left foot needs to get onto the pedal at the same time the airwheel (and my body) goes vertical. Gotta practice this till you get the timing right. No kiaping required ;)

But I must admit, padding or calf guards helps while learning to mount cos it can get painful during the repetitive motion of learning to push off.
However, once you finally work out the timing, I don't see the need for padding already.

Love to. But I don't drive and I don't really want to lug the airwheel around once it's juice runs out. (unless there's a charging point nearby ;) )
I basically just use it to wheel around my estate when I go grocery shopping, visit my parents or lim kopi with friends (those staying within a 5km radious from me)..It definitely beats walking. Absolutely love it! :)

learning wise it will be easier to pick up but higher cost of entry and bulkier compare to the single wheel. We will be at bishan park tmr from 930-1130, meeting at McD. If you are keen for test ride, do reach out to us. =)

toyomi, try to pump it weekly at petrol kiosk, optimal we recommend is 280 as the tires deflat after a week of no action or so, it will be also better for the mileage.
