hi gs,
i have a HP photosmart 2610 AIO printer, which is still in working condition, which i would like to give to some bro here for free.
Instead of throwing it away, i think maybe some bro here can use it as their spare/standby set. it would be useful if u r using one of the HP cartridges - from 92 to 97.

no need to tell us the price.. but did u get ur rig in the end?

in the end I decided to work with nigel because of his reputation.
price wise it was close between him and tradepac but I chose him for the peace of mind & also because i felt he could put himself in my position as a buyer and suggest a solution based on my requirements.

he isn't a see your budget and give you the most expensive parts to fit that budget ( which anyone can do ) but he also ensured that the build is compatible with what I'm using it for.

10/10 would recommend.

Ya, as a buyer I was pretty apprehensive about getting from SLS. Especially with the recent thread about PC themes. For me the most important thing is our goods must be brand new. After all it's not like we buying from eBay or taobao. Pay abit more product quality and service is fine and Nigel has that.

I have this problem with my HP comp.
1- cold start.
2- GPU fan spin. Rest of fans not moving.
3- Spin for 5 mins and stop.
4- auto restart.
5- attempt to start up but stop. (repeat no.4->no.5 for few times)
6- system stopped.
7- auto restart again with all fans spinning.
8- it will repeat sequence no.3-> no.7 until it actually starts the HD.

Sometime it took 45mins to startup the comp.

PSU problem?

sorry slip ur post...could be a mainboard/vga problem if u want can help u with it

put it out here.. we can help too..

Thanks for the kind offer!

Basically I need a rig that will mainly be used to run old productivity software for work which still requires windows xp to run.

I had initially come up with something like this:

CPU & Mobo: i3-4130 & Asrock H81M-DGS
Ram: Crucial 1600mhz value ram 8GB
ODD: Samsung DVD RW
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
PSU: FSP Aurum 500W
Casing: Xigmatek Mach

Then I realized the haswell motherboards do not come with windows xp drivers

I was trying to research and if I am not wrong, it seems the ivy bridge motherboards have xp drives. So does the AMD motherboards.

So I was thinking of replacing the processor and motherboard to either of these:

CPU: A6 - 5400k
MB: Asus F2A85-M
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/F2...Desk_Download/

OR

CPU: i3 3220
MB: Asus B75M-A
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/B75...Desk_Download/

The windows xp part is quite troublesome. Not sure if the 2 above mb+cpu combo still readily available.

Also I would like the rig to be as reliable and durable as possible (I suppose aurum is better than hexa?) so if there are recommendations for more reliable components than these, will definitely consider.

just to run win xp..... u are going to spend 500 or so... better off getting a 2nd hand at about 200. my option that is..
i found the intel combo at trade pac and pc tem..
aurum in a way is better then hexa... but with ur usage .. i dont think it makes a diff..

Got consider also but since I use it for work purpose I need it to be reliable and not die on me that's why more willing to spend extra on it.

Yup, no gaming or anything. Was thinking the aurum is more well built and reliable than the hexa haha.
