Today Singtel just came and changed my modem to this since I recontract to 500mbps, but even after installation, I use Speedtest but still see only 200+ mbps... Afternoon tested and now at night also, anything I should configure on my side to achieve 500mbps?

Thanks in advance!

Normally...the technician will do a speedtest for u b4 he left....or maybe ST havent open up the speed at their backend...

Hmm because he fix it while my Dad at home I'm not present, not sure if he did a speed test.

But maybe like you mentioned, the speed aren't upgraded on server yet.

Coz my 500m is recontract on last year dec. So 7003 havnt come out yet. And called singtel ask them can i change my 7002 to 7003 they say need topup 100 plus. If yr router faulty they can change for me coz under contract.

so make sure your internet got problem then call them. sure can change one, as their promotion now are giving out AC router from 200 mbps onwards

Right beside the modem on 5ghz I get 15xmbps.. 1 floor above with still full signal on 5ghz abt 12xmbps.. 2 floor above on 2.4ghz I got abt 30+mbps

That's pretty fast! You are even getting high speed on wireless for just 200mbps

My laptop doesn't support ac tho.. Shld be faster if it supports wireless ac

Get a AC dual band usb adaptor will be ok. Not bad even bigger home people also can use. Quite fast. If 500Mbps can get them to put wireless access point at second floor (near staircase) since it is 35 metre cable.
That will be even better.

Do you know what is the specs of 2wire? 2wire do not even have dual band which is so common today. 2wire is so old and the specs is really very low end. The new Aztech FG7003GRV is same same as ASUS AC56S but I think ASUS router support 3rd party firmware. Aztech can not support 3rd party firmware. Suggest google for the specs. This 7003 is quite fast.

On paper it is faster than the Old 2Wire, but after 2 days changed to 7003, I find it's not as stable as 2Wire, not sure if it's Singtel server got problem or what... but for these 2 days, I find 7003 connection like not stable, sometimes webpages doesn't load or takes longer to load.

And now when I do a speedtest, I'm only getting 90+mbps....
