Bought a half case for my ZTE Z7 Max from Taobao. Its a semi rubber and plastic case. It is stiff enough to support the phone, yet sufficiently pliant so as not to scratch the phone and fits it like a glove. The rubber like surface texture offers a good grip. It barely adds any dimension to the phone as its quite thin, making it much nicer to hold the phone with the casing installed.

The package comes with a film type screen protector (doubt anyone needs one now that tempered glass protectors are commonly available) as well as dust protector tabs for the headphone jack and USB port

The tempered glass SP i bought from Adix does not cover the entire screen, thus leaving a sufficient gap all around to accommodate for any phone case.

Cut outs for the volume rocker and power button. It makes it easier to identify the 2 switches

Accurate cut outs for the lens, microphone and speaker

I am having the same, exactly the same (colour too). LOL... still waiting for my second to reach me next week.

Bro, may I know how to Un-Root and restore the factory recovery if I want to do the upgrade? I am using flashify and CWM previously on my dead phone.

Download the firmware from nubia website. Put into ur phone and do the upgrade. U will get stock back and also no more root.

HI, I thought must restore to Un-root and factory recovery before I can do the upgrade? I used CWM to upgrade that caused the crash.

I'm no pro when it comes to rooting but i believe the correct procedure is to unroot before flashing OTA. However, if there is a complete image file, i think it can be flashed over from the recovery/boot menu. The problem now is, u cant even get to the menu right? :(

One suggestion, have u tried posting this question on XDA forum?

No I didn't, as I said I am quite new to Rooting, I did post in the Nubia's Chinese site, but no luck. I guess it still needs a factory visit.

Try posting in XDA forum...I think there are Z7 Max and Mini threads. Lots of crouching tiger and hidden dragons over there. Someone should be able to offer assistance. Meanwhile u can bring yr phone down to Adix's shop to let him have a look at it.

Battery life seems to be getting better after a week of use. It has been a long time since i managed to get a 5-6 hours on screen time with a phone. Excellent in the battery department ! :s13:

Agreed! Its my best phone to date in terms of battery life. 24hrs after charging with typical usage, I still see about 40% left. 4G and WIFI performance is pretty good too. I'm glad I made the switch. ;)

Any fellow Z7 mini users have issues with their mobile data network? For some reason, I can't seem to connect to 3g/4g/HSPA etc. The signal strength is excellent though... Any ideas?

The phone is great otherwise considering the price and specs. Comes pre-rooted with google apps but did a factory reset and flashed it with latest stock firmware hoping it would solve the issue.

1. Check your APN setting, make sure its correctly configured for your telco.

2. Enable LTE and select the appropriate preferred network type.

Not great unfortunately. Probably can survive 1 whole day on moderate use but I do carry a powerbank just in case. Besides, the blinking led while charging looks cool anyway. There are power save options though but have not played around with it yet. So far the only downside but I can live with it.

Anyways, can we actually get LTE with a Singtel 3G mobile data sim card?

Thanks for the feedback. The small battery is holding me back from getting this while Z7 max is too big for me.
