without using a custom recovery, it is possible to install google apps if you are rooted. you can use Root Explorer and follow these steps:

if you want the google apps, you can extract the apk files from the gapps package and copy them into the phone's System\App folder.

I went for the above method.
Took me a couple of times, but seems to work fine.
Just finished an hour ago.. all seems to be in order.

When I try to add my account on google play, I got the following message: "There was a problem communicating with Google servers. Try again later".

This message I got it from the first time when I turned ON the phone, I navigate into settings->accounts-> and there I found Google account and I tried to login and I didn't succeeded and after that I tried all the things that I found on the internet and nothing.

the bare basic things that needs to be done.
1.Root with TowelRoot, and then install supersu
2. root explorer ( i use es file explorer)
3. allow the es file explorer to open root of phone to access /system
4. allow r/w for /system
5. copy and paste the neccesary apk files into the /app or /priv-app folders
6. change the permission for the apk files. I followed How To Install Any App As A System App On Android [Guide]
7. reboot
8. open playstore.

Is the z7 max resolution as stated 5.5-inch 2K Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels), 538 PPI?
Or is just 1920x1080 only? The seller is Kxxx

Best you unroot before upgrading. Reports of phones being bricked when upgrade firmware directly while phone is rooted.
