Got 2 questions to ask,
1. May I know if taipei and taichung water is safe to drink after boiling? Normally when I go overseas, I drink bottled water. This time I need to make milk for my boy. I dun think I can boil mineral water. No choice got to boil tap water to make milk.

2. Other than airport where I can buy pre paid card, is there any chung wah telecom shop where I can buy the pre paid card and activate? I saw one near my hotel in xmd. Can I purchase the pre paid card and activate there? If so, I need to bring my ic and passport to do the activation, right?

Appreciate advices. Thanks a lot

Yes, boiled water is safe to drink.

Can buy prepaid card from telco shops in the cities, but the packages are not as good as that of the airport's telco shops.

Thanks 26!

The telco shop will activate for you. Passport is enough, but no harm bringing your NRIC along. I always bring passport and NRIC with me when going overseas. touchwood if the passport is lost, can go to singapore embassy or consulate with NRIC to make a temp passport to go home.

Photocopy of passport will do, if lose passport overseas. Or driving licence if you have. I never bring my NRIC when I travel. Losing the NRIC is more troublesome and cost more (if lost more than once) than losing the passport.
