strange enough, Samsung Facebook did not mention any Gear S on their new product announcement page, they only announce Note 4, Gear Circle and Galaxy Young

SO the staff at Samsung Experience Stores says you CAN reply to messages from 3rd Party Apps like Whatsapp/LINE directly from Gear S

Samsung Singapore Mobile says you CAN'T reply, only receive and view ..

This is really confusing, hiaz

But it doesn't has the call function which is the most practical feature of a smartwatch bah!

Yap. Cannot answer calls. Depends on whether u need this feature. Wonder if LG can reply messages like Samsung

To me, call function is important as when you hands are full or when you are driving, you can answer phone calls on your watch even when the traffic police is just beside you car. He cannot catch you for any offence since both your hands are on the steering wheel! lol..

At work, you can use your both hands to perform tasks while communicating calls on your watch. It makes your work and daily life much easier and productive in that sense.

LG running on Android Wear

Galaxy Gear S.. no future

I agree with the fact that Galaxy Gear S has no future... it will probably be abandoned by Samsung within the next 4 months, anyway, by something even newer. Been stiffed by Samsung twice already. Not going to try for a third time.

But it is also true that Android Wear has no future either... if it continues to ignore calls to support bluetooth handsfree voice calls. That is perhaps the most useful feature for me, especially as a driver. Even the iWatch has that feature.

You need to raise your arm to answer a phonecall, so it cannot replace bluetooth headsets.

If you are sitting at your table or walking, answering directly with the phone is better with privacy.

If you are driving, your phone will be in a stand or connected to a in-car Bluetooth speaker.

Only you want to use a watch to answer a call in a car.
