Hi clacla! I went for my interview on 7th July and still no news yet also haha

Haha. Yours also Allied Educator? Unfortunately, I still did not receive any news from MOE till now. It's been a long wait. The last I emailed them (a month ago), they said they are still processing. And till now, I still haven't received any news so I think most prolly I didn't make it. Congrats to the rest who made it though!

Hi I have several questions to ask. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could help answer them thanks.

1. If I want to opt for Bachelor of Arts, would it be possible for me to teach physical education also?
2. For diploma of education, it is 2 years. And this excludes the contract teaching is that right? And is it complusory for all to take up contract teaching?
3. For the entrance test for physical education, which is easier head/hand stand or cartwheel? I'm thinking of taking the test and apply for degree prog next year

2. It is only 1 year for Non-PE teacher and 2 years for PE-teacher.

3. Depends on your inherent ability.
If you have good strength, then probably hand stand is easier. Head stand is slightly riskier as your neck needs to be strong.

For cartwheel, it is more about being flexible. Can you do it since young? For me, I have been doing cartwheel when i was a child so it is kinda easy for me to pick up. But I can't do a good cartwheel. I can't do hand stand either lol. (I am not training to be a PE teacher)

anyone knows what happens if the recruitment officer called and i missed the call?

i received 3 missed calls between 6.30pm to 6.50pm today (24 oct). after the first call (around 6.31pm), there was an sms sent (at 6.32pm) to tell me that it is a call from moe to explain why the number appeared as 'private number' on the caller id.

there was no number for me to call back. i sent an email to the officer whose email was included in that sms to see if there's anything i can do.

will the recruitment officer call again on another day if i miss the call? or i completely lose my chance for an interview? i didn't expect them to call after office hours :/

i managed to check online, the only numbers available are those of the officers who are of higher rank than the caller, i don't think it is appropriate to call them?

that being said, is it a norm for them to call after office hours? i'm so worried they call at the most unexpected timing again :/

try to call the hotline number that stated in the moe website..then ask the customer service officer to get through the officer that called u..
