Refurbished means it was a defective set, and Amazon has looked at it, fixed it, and reselling it in a sealed box.

You probably need to use the US store, which may entail the use of a vpn. ymmv. I tried it before and it's quite interesting. 10 library books in your account at any one time... probably is not all nice books are included, but many are.

late to the party, just got a KPW.

sadly it doesn't recognise any of my wireless networks at home and can't set it up, hence. tried resetting, restarting to no avail. any advice?

That's quite rare. Is your home wifi using wpa/enterprise?

like jeffyen2, i think its related to your router's setup. if you can see other wifi but not yours then the KPW is working fine. did you hide your wifi ssid? if so you need to know manually input your ssid.

i did have a live chat with an amazon CSO, and she kinda guided me through. funny thing is, my KPW did connect to the network halfway through our chat (that was at about 9pm) and it failed to reconnect again at 12am (i didn't use it between this time).

what is most intriguing is that the error message says it is connected to the network but cannot connect to the internet.

worst-case scenario, i'll just stick to usb to upload my ebooks.
