anyone knows places where they sell paperwhite covers in sg? and hopefully cheaper than amazon..:s13:

If you're refering to official Amazon Kindle paperwhite covers, it's theoretically impossible for them to be cheaper than Amazon... because they are bought from Amazon! LOL

Kindle Voyage Touch Screen E-Reader with Light
Next-Gen Paperwhite Display, Highest-Resolution, Highest Contrast, New Adaptive Front Light, Reimagined Page Turns, Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + Free 3G

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IOY8XWQ/...donations09-20

Offer Type: Without Special Offers
Connectivity: Wi-Fi Only
$219.00

Pre-Order Now
Due to popular demand, orders placed today are expected to ship the week of December 7th. Limit two per customer.

At this price, we can only order 1 voyage each time. Unlike Paperwhite we can get 2 units and keep the price below SGD400 without paying import duty.

Looks like 1 unit of voyage $199 and 1 unit of kindle touch will be the optimum bundle for one order

Was there a sale on the PW last black friday? Do you think it's worth it to wait until Nov 28th to see if the price will go down?

Refurbished means it was a defective set, and Amazon has looked at it, fixed it, and reselling it in a sealed box.

is it worth saving $10usd to get the refurbished set?

currently waiting for maybe the 20usd discount to get the kindle paperwhite.

Where are you seeing this refurbished set for sale? And what's this $20 Paperwhite discount?

late to the party, just got a KPW.

sadly it doesn't recognise any of my wireless networks at home and can't set it up, hence. tried resetting, restarting to no avail. any advice?

That's quite rare. Is your home wifi using wpa/enterprise?

like jeffyen2, i think its related to your router's setup. if you can see other wifi but not yours then the KPW is working fine. did you hide your wifi ssid? if so you need to know manually input your ssid.

I assume you already read through this?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200728440 and
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201175570

both are the same but for different device, and if your is the PW2 then surely it works.

we are also less knowledgeable than amazon regarding the software, why not try having a live chat with the amazon officers?

i did have a live chat with an amazon CSO, and she kinda guided me through. funny thing is, my KPW did connect to the network halfway through our chat (that was at about 9pm) and it failed to reconnect again at 12am (i didn't use it between this time).

what is most intriguing is that the error message says it is connected to the network but cannot connect to the internet.

worst-case scenario, i'll just stick to usb to upload my ebooks.
