Launching date is PRETTY SOON!!

Taking pre orders NOW!
Price is definitely attractive. Please PM to check out information as certain information are not to be release yet!

RAM might be a 8GB onboard + 1 free slot. If that is the case, then maximum RAM will be 16GB!
Waiting for Asus's confirmation...

Dear PC_Dreams, please bring in the FHD model. The QHD model has the yellow problem. And also RAM onboard is 4 GB, so max RAM is 12 GB.

Not really true on the QHD+ issues. All FHD and QHD, QWHD panels as more issues than a normal HD model. Whether which screen resolution it is, it is equally likely to get the issues. It depends more on the manufactured batch.

For the RAM, website says 4GB. But there is actually a 8GB onboard version which we are trying to confirm whether it can be bring in. :)

I didn't realise the yellow colour problem on the screen is so serious. It is displayed as a mustard colour and when watching videos the distortion in colour is really glaring. And Asus hasn't been doing anything to solve the issue yet. Argh. Kind of regret this buy now.

I already said in my previous post.

FYI, the problem is with the QHD screen. Asus uses the same QHD screen with the one used in Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus, which is widely known as having the mustardy yellow issue. There's no point of getting Asus service centre change the screen if the service centre change the screen with another QHD screen.

That's why I asked you to bring in the FHD model.

That is 302LG, not 303LN.

Not really true. Though the yellow screen issue "widespread" (due to manufacture issues), There are more white screens than yellow screens in the market. Yellow screens is still a much smaller percentage.
We have a number of customers who manage to get it change to a good screen at Asus.

It is your choice whether you want to get it done. :)

As mention earlier, which model to bring in Singapore is decided by Asus, not us. :)

It seems to me that you misunderstand what is meant by "the yellow issue" in UX303LN's QHD screen (and also Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus' QHD screen).

Please read this for your reference: Asus Zenbook UX303LN / UX303 review - faster than ever - specifically, the Screen section.

Actually, on contrary, we totally understand what we mean.

We ourselves are MSI authorized service centre, and also extended warranty service provider for Courts, Harvey Norman and Challenger. We have dealt with LCD manufacturer's directly as well. :)
Under a screen there are six transmission layers.
The yellows tint is caused the the back layer which is not manufactured properly.
For certain open-cell laptop models, sometimes we have to resort to replacing the layers one by one to get it repaired.

Anyway, we are just trying to help by providing known working solution for all HWZ forumers. Believe it or not, it is up to you. :)

Cheers!
