Applied last week at clemeti branch, at first didn't aware of the requirement.. Denied to open trading account so I open e$aver account first.. Then the RM ask me to go to MAS website to do some test and no other info provided.. I was asking what test is it, he says just go MAS website I will find it.. :s8:

but I can't find any test on MAS website.. so I did the SGX quiz instead. printed out the result then the RM help me fill up the form without any issue :D

Course: SGX Online Education
School: SGX academy

The RM said there is no reason application get rejected if you met the requirement, so i guess you don't need to worry about it. ;)

Will be notified via letter, you can check at the scb ibanking trading tab too, if the trading tab open up, you can start trading already. :)

Apologies to bump this thread up

I tried the method as stated here. Even printed the SGX flyer and quiz results. However I was being turned away, saying that the only way is to perform 6 successful trades. Is there really a need to 'pay' $150 before I can open a trading account with SCB? Seeking for some advice please. Thanks a ton!

Just declare you traded 6 times in 3 years. It's just a declaration they won't check

I'm not too sure on the online for. I applied at a branch. When they ask me the question I just say I traded 6 times.

Thanks guys for the inputs. I will head down tomorrow morning and try again with another person. Probably saying that I've had 6 trades etc.
