Whatever throttling our contention ratio being implemented means nothing if service fails. Words are easy, delivering on those words are what's counted.

Our corporate plans have a variety of redundancy options that you can consider that we can't deliver over GPON, backed with 100% SLA to boot.

Unfortunately it's impossible to have 0 downtime on GPON as even the laser modules and hardware that beams down the GPON fiber are not possible to make redundant.

Other than that there are many redundancies built into the system.

Some fail to see what does the term "Premium" means. For me "Premium" means no throttling, open wide with no proxy or the such, can give me vas like extra IPs and rDNS and also uptime compared to mainstream ISPs. I am quite new to VQ but for the past few months since March, there is only once instance i can't connect to internet, that is because they have maintenance. Other than that... its my cat tripping on the power for the zhone.

It is very subjective to individuals on how one perceive "Premium". One can see it as no throttling, open wide with no proxy but another can see it as minimal or no downtime.

It will be great to set the right expectation to the customers.

How about adding SLA as a VAS? Im sure some users here wont mind paying for that VAS :s13::s13:

VQ offers business plans with 100% SLA or you get refunded for downtime.

you can enquire more with nicblase for pricing and speeds.

*shrug*

whatever downtime I have experienced so far is part and parcel of an internet connection.

My experience with the traffic lights have not been very good.

Best SLA is not to depend on others but on diversity, I'd rather have another ISP where I am backed up 100% even Voice.

Added MiFi's as alternatives to the backup.

Have you guys read the SLAs from all the ISPs, they are mostly one-sided to the ISPs. Plus refund is not what most people are seeking.

Please stop cursing our hardware :/ we are also waiting for answers and of course if there's actions relevant to subscribers someone from VQ team will update you guys.
This is why it doesn't really pay to court the power users...

Not only do they consume a disproportionate amount of bandwidth compared to 'regular' users, when there's downtime you have to deal with an earful from a small handful of them.

Hard to make money right, VQ? :p

Anyway I'm a happy camper as my connection was not affected :D

Oh btw, can you guys check your Twitch provisioning? Recently got a bit more buffering.

As mentioned we do have corporate plans with additional non-NLT diversity

I restate, the better plan is to have ISP from diverse service providers and that will backup even Voice services.

Getting services one on Fibre and the other on Cable with MiFi as alternatives is better and cheaper option.
