Hi,

I am apply a bto 3rm flat with my dad. He brough a bto and resale before, but now we are staying in a rented flat from hdb. I m 25 and he is 60.

I apply as the owner and he is the occupier.


2nd timer chance of getting bto in mature area is only 5%.but if total flat for 3rm is 608units.and total applicant is only 549. Does it mean that we can get the flat?

No. 2nd timer ratio for the project u balloted for is 9.9

It means for every 1 3RM allocated for 2nd timer, there is about 10 application for it by 2nd timer.

But there is more units available then applicant applied. It wont realise it to seclnd timer if first timer is so few?

hdb may keep the balance and release it under SOBF.. :vijayadmin:

sobf also got 1st timers mah.. and sobf sells for more $$ than bto.. :vijayadmin:

I tot the 5% second timer only apply if there is overwelming. But in this case is alot flats but less applicant.

My frank advice to u is u yourself call up hdb n double check with them.from what i know u will get the unit since there is more units than applicant.
So best is to hear from hdb .u will get 100percent accurate answer from them.gd luck to u.:D

I called them but they keep telling me 5% for second timer, i alr told them there is more unit available but they don give me an answer for that.

Bro, how to get unit if he's a 2nd timer, 2nd timer allocation is 5% of flat supply and the application ratio is 9.9 for that group..

If 2nd timer can surely get when total no of applicants is within the total number of units, i reckon we would see much sobf..

Seriously hdb is pushing me to a limit, i m staying in a rented flat from hdb, i just manage to renew my rental. Nearly no place to stay as the hdb officer say i can afford to rent from open market. Now wan buy bto also as second timer. Hai.

Welcome to the screw up policy higher mortal makes..

Anyway, my advice to you is to wait till u get ballot results. If results no good then try to appeal..You probably have a good valid reason..

actually the policy is intentional.. giving higher priority to 1st timers and family nucleus.. so even if not enough 1st timers takers in bto, keep to release to 1st timers in sobf.. and sobf doesn't even apply to singles scheme.. :vijayadmin:

:)Chiu is nt correct,if the applicant is more than unit available,they will allocated 2nd timer 5% for mature estate:s8:

If lot of drop out they will give to 2nd timer:D

I have been apply bto as 2nd timer for more than 10 times since in 2012...I got my bto in July 2013 when my queue number is 1240 and units available 844 units...if that the case why I can get my bto since my queue number very faraway:D

:)If your dad get subsidy from HDB need pay resales levy when buy new BTO:D
