Update on pre-ordering.
As expected yesterday saw our Suntec store flooded with fans looking to grab some launch sets, and before the end of the day the store was out of a number of sets. Expect to see this played out in most retail stores in the coming week as retailers try to balance stocking up with 100+ new 2015 items and a shortage of space.
Our WH is receiving stock from TLG this weekend and similar to what we have done in prior years for online purchases during our store wide sales, we will start contacting customers from Monday onwards to arrange in store pick up. Those customers who opted for in store pick up will be asked for a preferred slot. Slots will be available at stores after they have received 2015 launch sets, due to space constraints (NAC – Mon, PS -Tues, Jem – Wed, NPT – Thurs). So for those who asked for in store pick up at Suntec many of you should be able to pick up from the middle of the week.
For those who asked for delivery, and where the order is primarily MS13 boxes, we will arrange for our local courier to start delivering to customers from Wednesday. Those who have ordered a number of large sets we will aim to deliver ourselves and will be contacting you to arrange – this will take some time so please bear with us!
It is great to see a flurry of new members. We would like to remind all our members that our T&C’s are in place to be fair to all our customers and give the best chance for customers to own a set they really want. We go to great lengths to do this.
Our T&C’s have evolved over time and we will amend them based on customer feedback, however we will not amend or bend our rules to benefit customers at the expense of other customers or the LEGO Community at large (eg; “No, we can’t extend the pre-order window for you only”, “No, we can’t extend the special offer for you only”, “No, we can’t sell you more than the maximum number of sets”). We cancelled and refunded more than $10k of pre-orders due to some customers not following our T&C’s. For the very few members who do not agree or repeatedly cannot follow our T&C’s we will have no choice but to cancel their membership. We don’t like to have to do it, so please don’t make us do it!
Finally, our staff are respectful and courteous and we ask that from our customers in return – if an item is sold out do not take your frustration out on them – this applies to in-store and online.
