Just to share a site that i came across that compare a comprehensive list of travel insurance plans in Singapore:

Travel Insurance Guide | MoneyDigest.sg

You can see the best benefits offered by each companies so it will come in handy for people who are looking at a specific benefits such as a high limit for hospital income or medical expenses.

Then you can compare the premiums of the different insurers! Though some of it must get quote from an App or from the company website. Nonetheless still a good useful list!

Hope this help fellow HWZers here. :s22:

Ok this going to save me a lot of headache trying to figure out if i'm paying for a plan that is worth my money.

Seems like Allianz Gold plan and Ace Ultimate plan quite attractive..

Anyone care to share about their claim experience?

hi, im planning to purchase an annual insurance. I checked out Ace, NTUC and Aviva but have no idea which to choose. Ntuc provides more detailed coverage and aviva is close to nutc and cheaper. Headache. Any advice please?

If you are purchasing an annual plan, I would assume you are going to travel pretty often. As you travel more, the chances of your bags being lost in transit/delayed, or flights cancelled, delayed, etc, gets higher too. So I'd say go for a more comprehensive coverage even though it might be more expensive. It could potentially save you from further headaches if something does happen.

Do take note some of delayed baggage compensation does not apply if its your flight back to SG. My bag got misrouted once from BKK to sydney as the flight made a stop at SG before continuing to Sydney. I tried to claim for baggage delay as I wasn't able to retrieve my bag until 24hrs later, but was told the travel insurance plan I bought doesn't cover.

Ever since then, I stopped going those cheap credit card-linked travel insurance plans. Now I usually head straight for Tenet, for their plans have all that I want for a peace of mind. If you fall sick overseas, come back and see doctor within a stipulated number of days, is also reimbursable.

Just remember to read all the fine prints on what is actually being covered before you buy your annual plan. Or call/email the insurance company if you have any queries.
