If u r a real audiophile, u will know that external dac/amp is much better than soundcard in all ways....

as in not to the high level one, just love good sound, got a fiioe10k and a 598hd for music, good enough for me, thought sound card go do better ~ but for gaming , my current one now damn shitty ~~

what about liquid cooling vs fan ? will the dust vary ?

Still the same.

Liquid cooling
Transfer heat from processor using liquid to radiator. The radiator fan will dissipate the heat. The radiator and fan will accumulate dust.

Aircooling
Transfer heat from processor via heatsink and heatsink fan will dissipate the heat.
Heatsink and fan will accumulate dust.

It makes absolutely no sense to spend 4k on mitx setup since the upgrades on it is pretty limited

It's better to spend 2k now and save up the rest, 2-3 years later spend another 2k for the next gen pc

Everything same except motherboard and casing.

MSI H97M-G43
Bitfenix Prodigy M

Wait for some random IT show sales with creative inside. Their sound card discount price is very good.

The difference is minimal with and without soundcard. The speaker is usually the one making most of the difference.

Most likely your shitty music is due to shitty speakers.

You use Senheisser headphone for music (BTW using Senheisser makes me doubt if you are an audiophile :s22:) but what do you use for gaming? Consider a Creative Gigaworks instead.

i dont think ill be getting the gtx 980, as what i've read gtx 970 is good enough for all ultra ? will the gtx 970 last for the next 2-3 years for high end games ?

oh i forgot im an audiophile, want a good sound card for music and games :)

I dont agree with 970 given with recent fiasco + super attractive prices of 290X...

If the 459 Lighting 290X is still available, go for it, if u have so much money to spent wack 2 290X Tri X at 455 each.

Again there is not necessary unless ur monitor is 1440p at 144Hz or is 4K at 60 Hz..

All in all depend ur needs.

GTX970 @ $500 is the best price to performance ratio graphic card. The next better one is GTX980. GTX980 is only 20% better than GTX970 but cost $850

Obviously u seem to forget the existence of AMD card. If you want to follow strictly to price performance ratio, 290X score even better than GTX 970 locally in that aspect.

You cant judge someone who are or are not audiophiles when they go for a certain brand just saying.

And trust me, onboard sound and dedicated sound card DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Coming from onboard I straightaway notice the big jump when I switch to ASUS Xonar DX. Again that is only noticeable if ur speaker is good. If not the difference would be marginal since ur speaker cannot bring out the potential of the sound card.

Dont listen to those who say Sennheiser sucks. The HD 800 is going at 1.5K SGD and is yet its still highly popular to audiophiles around the world.

I personally listened to HD 650 and are geniunely impressed by the quality of the sound they produced from my Iphone alone. (Together with an portable amp)

i agree there's a difference and yes of cos speakers and headset do make a difference too, my sound card was so bad, i went to buy a external asus xonar u7, even tho i know its chui but its confirm better than my onboard realtek HUGE DIFFERENCE.

hi all,

please recommand me the most valued gaming diy pc, budget 4k !!
play high-end games, hopefully can get a system that works as well as ps4 without lag :)

is there any difference with liquid cooling and normal fan ?

thinking of getting those cool cool chassis too !

is it worth to get 120hz ? or stick to 60hz
:s22::s22:

I preferred to play games on console cos i rather spend 500-600 on ps4 than thousands on PC.

Indeed, one of the advantage of using consoles is you do not have to worry about updates, installing games to the hard drive and furthermore,
maintaining a PC can be more expensive than maintaining One Xbox or PS4

The thing is that PC can do much more other than just pure gaming. That's the reason why its more expensive than Xbox or ps4. Also consoles games also need to update when there is patches ma.
