Hi,

I have just changed from ST fibre to M1 1G plan with Asus RT87U. Firmware upgraded to 3.0.0.4.378_3885. Now my bit torrent that is hosted in Dlink NAS320 no longer working. I had tried both port forwarding and placing the NAS in DMZ but result is the same. I do not know whether is it M1 or the router problem. Can anyone help to advise?

Also, I find that the router is very unstable on wireless. My phone wireless connection can fluctuate between 57Mbps (2.4 GHz) to 443 MHz (AC) at the same location (less than 30 cm from the router)

Thanks

Hi guys, I recently purchased this router and I can't seem to get it connected to the Internet. I followed the instructions in the manual but the WAN LED is always red. As I am currently using Singtel fibre plan, I called up Singtel but they said they cannot help as they do not have support for 3rd party routers. So I was wondering if anyone knows whats wrong with it or is there any way that I can solve this problem? Much thanks in advance.

Assume you are not on the Unlimited Plan, under Advance Settings -> LAN -> IPTV, select "Manual" for "Select ISP Profile". For Internet, input "10" for VID and "0" for PRIO.

3rd post down is a link and first post has info, CLICK THIS

I did finally get an IOS wifi hang with dd-WRT but I also think I found a solution for it in that thread. Testing now the solution .
The only thing I do not know and have read conflicting stories on is what is the mW of the 2.5 and 5GHz on asus firmware so I can match with dd-wrt for signal strength.

But in all honesty dd-wrt has its problems too, those as of yet affected me.
Thanks I switch over liao ............:D

One issue ......... how come the 2.4Ghz LED not lighted anymore.........

Thank you for your help. Got my internet working for the Port 1 and 2 on the router. However, Port 3 and 4 isn't connecting to the internet. Do you know how to solve this problem also? I am currently trying to connect my MioTV to the Port 3

There's a preset profile already. Select "SingTel-Others". MioTV to port 4.

Try going back to "Manual" for "Select ISP Profile".
For :-
Internet - VID = 10 PRIO = 0
LAN port 4 - VID = 20 PRIO = 4
LAN port 3 - VID = 20 PRIO = 4

Ok noted.

By the way the interface not as user friendly than Asus Bios...

The user interface is not as friendly indeed ,but it is more fluid and things work when you activate them unlike asus you most likely need to reboot . That's why on that link I posted what most should use and where it's is located, but once you get used to it it is a great interface. Some things are defiantly easyer to do on asus firmware but too many problems on that for me. Tho I am still testing dd-wrt.

in ur wireless log, does the "connected time" of ur devices keep resetting or stay connected for 10 over hours? In addition, do you have any iPhone 6/6+ connected via 5GHz?

For my case, my devices (AC devices) keep disconnecting and reconnecting when they are put to sleep. No dropping when the devices aren't in sleep mode tho. This is kinda irritating, as my phones will miss whatsapp, fb messenger notifications when they are in sleep mode.

Bingo .......... I am in the same situation with you now..........:(
some of my devices (AC or N) does keep disconnecting and reconnecting when they are put to sleep. No dropping when the devices aren't in sleep mode which all along I never have issue when using them .....

IPAD is one that will stay connected in sleep mode thought....

This is exactly the same issue with my iPhone 6.
