You just need to present your card at the restaurants to enjoy the discounts. Take note of T&C, especially for Palate.

However, you should also be getting additional vouchers via mail... soon. Thought it'd have come with the card, but guess it's mailed separately. Call them if you don't get it within a week?

Guys, i successfully waived off my annual fee. No questions asked. They just directed me to my card's customer service manager and was told it has been waived. I guess there is a spending limit to have the fees waived off.

U mean u paid for 1st year and got waived for 2nd year with 26k spent?

Is anyone else hating the new palate card website? I prefer the old site which had the map so i could see which places were nearby. It also seems like they no longer update the list of restaurants. It used to be the case where they add / drop restaurants on a monthly basis so there's always something new to try each month

Yeah, me too. With the current layout, I wouldn't know if they added new restaurants anyway - the new site doesn't highlight the recent changes like the old one did.

Given that the Palate Facebook page seems to have gone dormant and Palate is now branded as an Amex dining programme rather than a standalone one, I won't be surprised if they're thinking of eventually killing it off...

Yup, I like the old site, too. Now it's hard to search restaurant, are they intentionally making it difficult for us?:s11:

I saw the site is under Amex now, did they acquire the palate?:s22:

Besides, recently went to Bobby's @ CHIJMES, but found our drinks did not enjoy any 15% bar discount, including Singapore Sling (they dun classify it as cocktail? reminds me of ocbc classify Singpost as Gov, lol~).

T&C:
• Palate Bar Privileges 15% discount are valid only for cocktails, house pours and wines by the glass. They are
not valid for bottles.

I noticed that there is a Lao Beijing at Orchard Central on their 10 x MR partner website, but I can't find this outlet at their Palate page(only Plaza Sin and Velocity are listed).

Does that mean that we can have 10 x MR at Lao Beijing Orchard Central but no Palate discount? Anyone used the palate discount at Lao Beijing Orchard Central ?

Got a new bunch of vouchers for Amex Platinum Reserve. Want to check if this is specific to the Reserve card? Does the standard Platinum CC get it? (While I'm at it, does the charge card get it, or something similar/better?)

(Trying to see if it's worth paying extra for the Reserve this year, or to downgrade to standard CC. Haven't really been utilising any additional benefits prior to this.)

The new advertised perks are:
  1. 1x Complimentary night with Capri by Fraser (limited properties - Brisbane, KL, Ho Chi Minh, Frankfurt or Barcelona)
  2. Tower Club access
  3. Staycation vouchers (inc. $150 nett for quite a few boutique hotels)
  4. 2x $100 yacht vouchers
  5. 4x free wine vouchers (no minimum spend required)

I find it weird that the down play the Reserve card now. Then what's the point of having it in the first place?

I say this because the retention offer also tried to get me to keep the Platinum Credit Card not renew the Reserve, since the difference is just "golf and yacht benefits"

Huh. Does that mean the standard CC card also has all the additional vouchers now?

can I apply a new standard Platinum CC card while I still have a Reserve Card?

I am thinking of cancel the Reserve card as it's said to charge me $535 annual fee instead of $321 in the last few years.

I applied last sat and they sent it by courier today.
Quite happy with their service.
They helped me to set up the online account.

They are generous with their limit, gave me the highest among all my other cards.

FYI, I started with the reserve card and then got the platinum charge card later. They having been giving me the reserve card for free as long as I pay the fee for the plat card. So I get double vouchers, magazines etc. You guys may want to ask?

Btw I just renewed the plat charge card, only benefit I got was 40k points. Anyone got better renewal bonus?
