I chanced upon a shopping cart in Amazon where it imposes "import duties" of some $20-30, for some specific items that get shipped to singapore. Wonder why some items do not get this duty tax, while some do?

Click and saw $199.99. Is it the price change randomly at Amazon?

yeah was 189 last night. :s12:

Amazon prices fluctuate a lot
hence the price protection, up to 7 days from the day the item reaches SG

either way it's a lot cheaper than buying locally, but you sacrifice local warranty.
weight the Pros and Cons and decide imo

I only get import duties once I hit 400sgd and above

don't think it's item bound...

Yes, it was 189.99 for few hours last night :s13::s13:

Anyway, even at 199.99, it's still the best deal!!!
Better than crucial imo because the samsung one has 5 yr warranty!
Although claiming it might be a pain in the arse due to non-existent warranty claim service, even in the U.S.! :s13::s13:

Crucial SG wun entertain u.. Need send back to USA... Besides, local crucial stock nt directly handled by crucial sg itself, its done by convergent. The crucial in SG is a fabrication plant..

Only intel have int'l warranty..

Actually claiming warranty for crucial SSD thru crucial.com chat system is dead easy and it's almost as good as having local warranty. ;);)

Now $97, how come so fast change price....

It is sold by 3rd party, meaning the 1 sold by amazon itself is OOS. The next on the list will be shown as the selling price for now.

It is not that so fast change price, its u 2 slow.... Dun forget USA is also camping for such deals as well. Want get, faster get and pay. Dun hestitate.

For price protection, can I buy now ($199.99) and ask for refund based on last night price ($189.99)? :s22:

The protection is based on the time you placed the order and before you receive the item at your doorstep, any price difference within this period you can ask for refund.

Nice. Do you guys think it's worth it? About S$175 after shipping and all, $75 cheaper than locally.

Try add another $6 more to get free shipping... Microusb cable or so... It should around $168.

IMO, its quite a good deal. SG prices for DDR3 will not drop de, it has been increasing nia... Only US stores gt chance for it to drop.
