Yeah. I just got offered a contract role in statsboard!

I am a indonesian, with singapore PR .so HR say it might take longer to process the application for clearance purposes

Anyone advice for me to take up citizenship? Does it better my my chances so that nxt time i can go to work in ministry ? Cause presently i cannot apply to ministry

Profile about me:
I am 22, indonesian ,singapore PR
Studying in local uni in singapore
Got two offer: one from healthcare GLC, one from statboard
I intending to go to ministry work in future...anyone can advise whether gettin a citizenship can better my chances to work in ministry...cause currently i apply to ministry but no luck in getting interviews

Second interview? Mine abit special... Mine is written test (for full time job) > 'special' interview > internship > final interview. My interview questions are all technical

Sorry, i tiagong ministries usually take in singaporeans first if there are suitable candidates.
Why dont u take up citizenship then apply again?

Also, you should be asking yourself if you should be taking up citizenship because you want to repay the debt you owe to sg, not whether or not taking up citizenship gets you a job in the ministry. sounds like a wrong reason to take up citizenship to me.

Of course no. But i feel i no different from local. I studied in singapore since jc on Asean scholarahip...i am already a PR...i picking up mandarin to assimilate into the environment too...On the other hand, if yall wanna learn my language, Bahasa indonesian..do lemme know ... i am more than willing to teach u!
