Question on Technic.

If i purchase a set with the electronic power function, but if i refuse to install the power function, would it affect anything in the build up?

I'd like to have them for display only, as i do not like the power function.

No one shall force you to even follow the instruction booklet for the build
it is your set, you paid for it, you decide what to do with it, isn't that simple? :s13:

Just build it up and leave the batteries out. Thats what I do. The motor needs to be attached, especially those that drive articulation. Anyway the motor is sealed so just fix it.

Maybe i didn't phrase my question correctly or clear enough, i was asking if it affects the final set up.

So i can't leave the motor out?

Just being a lil paranoid here. Build a couple of Zoids and after about a year, motor starts giving me problems.. there goes a few hundred bucks. :(

Wow missed zoids. Yup def install the motor. You will understand why. Take the excavator for eg, the drive shafts that drive the shovel arm is connected to the motor.

Thank you for your reply. Hehe not familiar with lego. Only just started and have gotten myself 2 non powered technic sets.

Yeah I have a small display of zoids, and many boxes in the cupboard. Not sure to build them or not.

Lego, can be built and taken apart > Zoids, build and dead end.

Used to have a few of the large zoids model like Gojulas. Missed pushing the rubber caps and the zzzzz motor. Lol.

If given a second chance, i think i would skip zoids. Brings back memories though. The rubber cap thing.. go hardware store find something similar and push all u want lor.

But for long term investment, Lego > Zoids.

Can keep back and even let my kids play in future.
