as I already quit my full time job...

because I still have some funds can withdraw ...to add in my present investment .

just that want to spot good stocks indeed is hard...

next I have add quite a lot stocks under my watch list and montior.....

I caculate etc...it " seem hard to be full time trader/ investor full time " if Just on SGX ?

I see those stocks movement with week just back to square one or drop a lot in cents...

when go up ...at more few cents ..haven't reach 10cent...

If you trade US stocks (GBSN) with 100k when the market opens and sell now in less than 2hrs you make aro 60k. Now $3.90

Even if you buy 100k in (HKTV) in less than 2hrs can make aro 37k. Now $10.49

Yeah, but how did you know beforehand that the stock would go up?

its easier to be a full time investor than a full time trader

u either need high returns or big capital

having a big capital makes things easier

I don't.. can only know when the market starts moving for the first 30mins, then see what are those stocks that appear on high gain and high volume. After that i will check their latest news.

This was the news at US 8:00am
Great Basin Receives Patents for Company's Sample-to-Result Molecular Diagnostic Testing Technology

This was the news at US 1:56pm
Great Basin Scientific (GBSN) Stock Surges Today After Patent Issuance

Don't do trading if you don't know how. Invest long term is easy, just need to pick the right stock that can keep going up.

3 of the best stocks to hold long term right now for the next 2yrs is Apple, Visa and Synchrony Financial.

argh, i failed at trading but here some point i taken out during my very short time as a trader.

1) profit is not always consistence, u might be making thousands in a day but the rest of the month u might make nothing. gotta be prepare for months where u earn next to nothing :(

2) self question, maybe its just me but when i didnt make a profitable trade or any trade at all in a week i would question myself and my trading life style decision.

3) money tend to dry up extreme fast, ya, no day job means no income. even if i dont move much and stay at home. money just disappear like craze.

i tried for 6 months, gave up and went back to a day job. now trading for hobby liao. :(

still miss that 6 months of freedom, but not really worth the stress i tink

u are saying out of the thousands of stocks, these 3 will yield the highest returns??????

How high is high enough for you? Don't need to pick those with the highest gain. These 3 all have gains aro more than 20% return per year. Good enough for me.

For those who don't know, Synchrony Financial is a credit card company by GE. IPO at $23 last year, now $30.

That's why for trading most people will trade US stocks. For tonight can checkout KFX and KRFT.

Hello Bro Anton

Really the 3 stock still can buy at this level? I am thinking but I bought one counter few years ago until the share bankrupt, my fingers burnt, now so scared to touch stock in US....

Apple came out with a watch, a new product so a new revenue. It was at $400 before they announce a stock split from 1 to 7 shares. Now after the split the price is still ok to buy.

APPLE INC - 44.46 Billion (net profit)

VISA INC - 5.58 Billion (net profit)

Synchrony Financial - 2.11 Billion (net profit)

So which stocks do you think is cheaper to buy?

It a global market, if sgx is not moving much why keep insisting on trading here. SGX should return the exchange back to how it was before 2007 where stocks don't jump by 0.5-1 cent. :s22:

For local stocks i have Q&M at 48c, that's all. Cause they start expanding to China.

Actually, you did not have any sort of freedom. Oh sure, you did not go out to work at a regular day job but you literally traded that in for staring at your screen all day trying to figure out what to do as the market fluctuates.

Ya, but with certain style of trading, you do all your homework before market open and just watch for a few minutes to enter/exit. After that, it's holiday!

Well, at least I read some traders just trade a few minutes... The homework though... no idea.

I have 0 experience in day trading so don't take my word for it.

If you go run a business, you will know how hard it is to make above $1 billion a year in net profit.

They can do it so i buy and keep.
