The LG G Flex 2 is one of LG's flagship devices for 2015. Its most notable feature is the 1080p 5.5" curved display, with a 23 degree arc. It is also one of the first Android smartphones to feature the new 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which has a clock speed of 2GHz. The G Flex 2 comes with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, depending on region. The shooter comes in at 13MP, and features laser-guided auto-focus and optical image stabilization. The G Flex 2 is powered by a non-removable 3000mAh battery. On the exterior, the device features a "self-healing" back panel coating, which is an improved version taken from the original LG G Flex.

So what is special about the POLED¿ :o

The Plastic in the POLED enables it to be more flexible and curved compared to conventional AMOLED I think...

Still waiting for the G4 though... Full HD on 5.5" is so yesterday :D

I gotta be honest, one good thing when this phone came out was that it highlighted some current pros and cons about the Snapdragon 810. It was undoubtedly smoother, but LG has expressed that CPU throttling was done. Hopefully new software would be out soon to sort out this problem. I'm sure CPU throttling is done for some of the new flagships as well.

The battery performance kinda dropped compared to the predecessor though. Some of the battery tests done show up to a 30% drop in performance. I kinda expected the performance of G Flex 2 (5.5 inch P-OLED, 3000 mAh) to be somewhat the same as the G Flex (6 inch P-OLED, 3500 mAh battery), though of course we'll need to consider our factors like chipset/GPU/resolution. But this drop seems a little too much.

Thumbs up for the OIS in the camera :D Love phones with this function hehehe ^^

I think 50kg should be no problem too leh. Depends on the floor surface ba.

Won't 50kg be too much on LG Flex2? Later cannot flex anymore lol, need reviews on this.

I think snapdragon 810 got bad publicity of hot cpu, which needs to be addressed somehow.

Ya heard good things about the ois too. :o

The LG Flex 2 is the Korean company’s second stab at a curved smartphone. Unlike the Galaxy Note Edge, this is a phone that’s all curve from the screen to the predominantly plastic body. The original G Flex was packed with innovative, albeit ultimately flawed, tech and in its second coming, LG seems to have learned its lesson.

Now there’s a smaller, more manageable design, a vastly improved 1080p Full HD screen and a camera offering better low-light performance. Plus it’s the first phone of 2015 to launch with Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor.

While the jury is still out on whether curved smartphones are really the future, especially when LG told us it’s running out of ideas for different phone designs, it’s actually the performance that’s the biggest talking point of the G Flex 2.

Here comes our first video sneak. Let’s find out ‘What The Flex’ the LG G Flex2 can do!

Original G Flex can withstand 1000 lbs according to consumer reports...

So i guess 1200 lbs or 550kg for this...

It's camera has fast focusing due to its laser focusing. This means super quick focus for quick snaps.

and don't forget the gesture shot. We can take pictures, primarily selfies by clenching our hands into a fist, no need to set timers and wait awkwardly for it while it counts down.

And it's quick charge technology means we can charge the gflex2 much quicker than other phones

wah seh... LG also come in this promo...
The LG Flex 2 gives and provides an ergonomic hold on the phone which will sit comfortably on your palm. Together with its large crisp 5.5" screen that has a 1080p resolution and coupled with 2GB ram, 16gb internal memory, it has everything that your daily phone needs

Including the of up to 128gb microsd for expandable memory (well, funny because 200gb is now out), you can carry all your memories together

Of course we don't forget the twin model with 3GB ram and 32gb internal memory.

Battery seems to follow the other devices at 3000mAh and will come with:
Android Lollipop (5.x)
P-OLED
OIS+

The quick charge technology, to be used, must it be used with a snap dragon approved charger or any 'high-speed' charger?

I am back home, ok continuing on with my thoughts on the phone.

Processor/chipset/GPU
These days, we are using our phone more and more often. For me, the amount of time I spent on my phone is even more than the time I spent on the computer. More advanced games are also being developed. In order to enjoy playing high end mobile games such as Asphalt series, the chip set in a phone is getting more important. Think of it like the GPU/graphics card in your computer. Without a good chipset, games will run sluggish and slow.

The LG G Flex 2 is well equipped with a powerful Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 and Adreno 430. This powerful mobile GPU will ensure that you will be blown away with excellent graphics and gameplay. Be prepared to take mobile gaming to a whole new level!

Its not only games that require a good gpu/processor. Watching high definition movies/videos also require a good chipset/gpu. The powerful gpu/chipset will render and ensure that your videos will be played smoothly.

Camera
These days, we are always on the go and having a good camera on our phone will ensure that we will be able to capture moments in great clarity. With the LG G Flex 2, you are always ready to capture precious moments anytime and anywhere.

The LG G Flex 2 features a 13 Mega pixels (4128 x 3096 pixels), laser autofocus, optical image stabilization and dual-LED flash camera.

The video recording feature is outstanding too. The phone is able to record videos at 2160p@30fps and 1080p@60fps.

I do hope LG can come out with artic white ver... the kind that is very close to snow colour..

Actually true. With this color it'll be harder to spot fingerprint smudges. And it'll look more sleek! :D

Probably as time goes by they'll release other colours as well ^^

Communications
The phone comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA and hotspot.

One point that I would like to mention that hotspot is really a very useful feature to have. I have used the hotspot feature numerous times. Back then when I was a student, I activated the hotspot function on my phone so that my laptop can receive internet at places where there are no wifi.

Also if you have other devices that does not have internet access, you can also tap on the hotspot internet connection from your phone.

This is a great feature to have and it is present in the LG G Flex 2

Other features
The LG G Flex 2 has the ability to fast charge battery. The phone is able to charge your battery to 60% within 30 minutes. This is a great feature to have. Perhaps you might be using your phone the previous night and played games till low battery and fell asleep. When you wake up to prepare for work and you realise the battery is low.. fret not! Because when you prepare to go to work you can charge the phone and within 30 mins it will be at a healthy level to last for the whole day!

Battery
The phone comes with a large capacity non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAh battery. In my opinion there isn't really any difference between a removable or non removable battery. My current phone is a removable battery phone but to date, I have not removed the battery yet and see no need to do so.
