LG G Flex2 is available in Flamenco Red and Platinum Silver in Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip. LG G Flex 2 is noticeably smaller and easier to hold with a 5.5-inch screen full-HD curved P-OLED display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution and a 403ppi pixel density. LG G Flex2 display has a 700mm-radius curvature, while the back is slightly sharper with a 650mm-radius curvature for grip. Its Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Dura-Guard.
Its not remotely rugged in a traditional sense. Don’t drop the G Flex 2 down the toilet as its not waterproof. Despite the fancy coating, the back panel is still a thin curvy bit of plastic that will scratch and crack just like the rest if you abuse it hard enough. The self-healing layer can only do so much.
Its a phone with a bendable technology. However, its also pretty practical given its slightly gimmick beginnings. As with most other top end LG phones, it also uses rear volume/power buttons rather than ones on the side. This does feel odd at first, but doesn't take long to become a convert. Like the curve, they just make sense ergonomically.
The other features include Gesture Shot recognisable from up to 1.5 metres away with either a palm or a fist. Gesture View to check last clicked shot and Glance View to swipe down for notifications even when the screen is off. Voice commands like Cheese, Smile, Whiskey, Kimchi and LG can be used. There is Fast Charging which can charge the battery up to 50 percent in under 40 minutes.
