Dear Keigo,

I am not sure if Quantenna is new to end user product line and as i know they always do enterprise level.

We are working closely with Quantenna to improve the ASUS firmware.

I will release another beta build soon.

Best regard,
JK
Any new beta for us to try out for the weekend? :s12:

Dear thiamhui,

I will stop releasing any beta firmware at this moment.

We are working to resolve some issue.

Best regard,
JK

I jumped from 4950 to 5587 with hard reset.
Since new beta not so soon, do you think it's better to roll back to official 5134? Assume Hard reset is not required.
5587 5G is laggy for iPhone 6 plus.

Any idea why NAT acceleration now only shows CTF only, FA looks not enabled in merlin too. Do i need to do hard reset once more? I upgraded to Merlin.

You will need to hard reset again if roll back to 5134, I think...

The level 1 (CTF only) and level 2 (CTF+FA) has been removed ages ago. Reason being level 2 (FA) isn't being that compatible by Broadcom hence only CTF is in used now.

As for VLAN loopback, what ISP are you subscribed to? There is an VLAN loopback issue with AiProtection, VLAN tag in used if i'm not wrong. Alternative upgrade to the 5587 for the time being or disable the Aiprotection or await for the next RMerlin firmware release.

I terminal in, couldn't find much info on how to fix the VLAN 10 issue and NAT acceleration. sigh. anyone can help? Thought i could fix it via command prompt. Unfortunately this is not cisco. Linux is nightmare for me.

ahh, thanks for the info. You're right, no more VLAN10 issue after disabling the AI.

One thing to note, this router cannot take heavy load. Once you have BT running on our external NAS Running on RJ45, just having 10 downloads. The processors gonna hit the roof and disconnect, reboot. Whole network will slow down to a crawl. :(

My BT also downloaded to external NAS on RJ45. All 10 files with tons of seeds/peers for each torrent? I tried b4 more than 10 torrents at once but I am using private tracker so not as many connections compared to public trackers.

But this router can handle around 30k maximum simultaneous connections. AC3200 can do like 45k if u want to compare.

the vlan tagging is just for miotv to work, you don't need it for your android mediabox

Am not sure what NAS you use, QNAP seems to bring the whole router down when I download simultaneously. the processors really constant 100%.
