The Galaxy Note 3 thread, also stop asking me if it fits in pockets.

I think i might switch out to LG or Sony for my next phone. Samsung never learn.

I have already switched out of Samsung after looking at how they treated us for our note 4.

Lg g flex 2 or g4 seems to be the most promising phones to get...

What are you using now? How long already? Got lag? How's the ram?

Cos i find it so ridiculous that ram usage in my Note 3 is so high. I know i installed a lot of stuff but these are mobile apps, 2.2-2.4gb used in standby is ridiculous. Everytime before i go into a game, i'll clear the ram 1st and 50+ apps would be close before the game can run smoothly. Normally that clear out about 500mb free.

The way Android uses ram is different from the way x86 architecture uses. High ram usage does not always necessarily equate to a laggy phone. You should probably read abit through Google. I did and subsequently focused on other settings such as cpu governors and background running apps.

Fyi the more apps u install the more tasks will be running in the background. I assume your phone is not rooted, hence there is no way you can control such behaviour. Besides, what's the main reason why you are always trying to keep your ram free? Ram occupied helps in launching apps in double-quick time. I frequently switch apps and I see a difference in app switching speed after I cleared apps from memory.

How is it? Does it make the phone faster?

Does it solve the "hanging effect" during transition from 4g to wifi? Or when swiftkey is loading their prediction?

The lagging effect when typing improved. The transition is smoooooth. It's like using a mac lol.

I thought the generous consensus (from Google searches) is that the lollipop update is bad, bad, bad?

Just look at the screenshot of the yucky theme. The notification icons look horrendous. And if I understand right, they replaced generally black screens with white - so this consumes more power.

I got the notification to update 2 days back. I ignored it and disabled future update notifications. Why break what's working alright? Just the theme makes me puke... sorry I have to repeat that. :p

My phone is not rooted btw so...
