I'm contemplating on whether I should get the Z3+ and share everyone's concerns with heat issues because of the chipset. But based on past experiences, Sony has done well to minimize such heat issues through software updates, without significantly sacrificing performance and user experience, if I may add. So I'm just waiting for its release now. :D

I give you moral support, since I cannot recontract this year. :D

I trust that you will give impartial review, as always.

The Snapdragon 810 didn't sell nearly as many units as anticipated. The heat issues confirmed with Sony's eagerly-anticipated flagship models - the Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3+ were the more or less the final nail in the coffin of Qualcomm's flagship SoC. These handsets supposedly run on a revision 2.1 of the Snapdragon 810, meaning that, at this point, the design seems so fatally flawed that it is beyond salvageable.

Went to 313 sony... only dummy set. But the green unit is very chio. Brown was ok, much like gold. Black and white are still very classic too.

Anyway, the "Overheating" issue is that really that HOT? Been seeing those comments on Facebook. How "HOT" does it really go? :s11:

The Aqua? Thought it was more blue than green?

Look more like silver green to me. The bezel are silver. This is the one to look out for on this phone. Sony color selection for their phone really are top notch

It is indeed aqua green, like how green oceans look like. I'm inclined to this colour as well, but I'm sure I'll end up with white. Haha

The pictures all look blue to me, have not play with any demo set yet.

I am still waiting for a blue flagship.

Yes, the green is more bluish this time compared to the Z3, a very unique and smoothing colour.

However, I love more on the Gold with the shiny surface on the edges, makes the phone more elegant compared to Z3 with dull edges but I will go for Z3+ Dual instead. =:p

Just tried out the Z3+ at Sony 313.

Looks and feel great and looks like a more refined Z3. Love the design because they pay great attention to the rear styling and not just the front. All Xperias have cameras flush with the back while maintaining a slim frame and that looks just great

Nowadays all flagship phones are fast and fluid, so the Z3+ is just that. There is no such thing as a performance king among all flagships because there is no phone that is fastest in everything. Some are faster in certain scenarios and some in others. Benchmarks are informative but it does reflect the actual usage. That 10-20% difference between handsets in benchmark scores will not be felt unless the difference is so huge like 50%. Although Z3+ is still not on sale yet, we already know that the HTC M9 using the same S810 feels faster than the S6 and iP6. So no issues with performance.

Regards the heating issue, I abused the camera by taking pictures continuously as well as using burst mode and managed to trigger the auto shut down of the camera. Although what I did was abnormal usage but that is something we wouldn't like to see. Hope they improve on this. Basically this is the only thing that is making me wait and see otherwise I would 100% prefer this phone over all others.

One more thing I like is that the camera lens and the rear glass is one piece. That means screen protectors won't need to have cut outs for the camera so the camera is not exposed to scratches. Very nice!

i tested 2 units. 1 unit got heating problem but the other did not. the OK one only had the normal hotness when i did 4k recording for about 2 minutes but it didnt shut down

I always loved the white (still do on my z3) but that Aqua is tempting.

I only tested the bronze unit at 313. Didn't find any other Demo sets. Where did you test the 2 phones?

To those of you presently using the Z3 and Z3C. Can you compare the shutter response of your phone with the Z3+ when you try the demo set?

The Z3C shutter response has always been faster than the Z3 so I wonder if the Z3+ shutter response time similar to the Z3C or Z3.
