@royfrosty: Thanks alot.

I prefer black and red. Hmm is it worth waiting for Intel Skylake? But the price will also be very steep? Got budget is one thing, I prefer getting more value for money. Haha.

Not worth it - havent seen much of the lower tier H or B lineups so far.
Z170 is confirmed to be on a ddr4 platform - this would mean ur new rams will be very very expensive.

Sidenote: for 980Ti get non reference please. Ref card temps is really CMI in our tropical climate.

Thanks. Non-reference cards temperature usually differ by how much?

One of our user Maylyn changes his Titan X using the new EVGA ACX cooler, it drop by a whooping 19 deg C at load while the fans is reduced from 34% to 22%.

Quieter and much cooler, why not. :D

10-15 on load or more depending on your active fan cooling placement and your passive cooling (ambient temps, air con, windows, desktop placement etc.)

+100 on this.

Even with non reference design, it still can go to low 70s region if you are pushing everything on max settings. Afterall it is a mini Titan X, which is already a warmer card than your 900 series card (which have no problem staying at 60c on load).

Ref 980Ti in SG you are very likely to see it at around 80s and hit the thermal limit.

Using ref design, I keep getting throttled down by 2 steps when I game at 4k.
Not even overclocking the card and overvolting it.

Now at stock vcore with +220 clock and +300 mem very rarely I am getting throttled.
Ti is a very powerful overclocker, dont skim on cooling for just that 100.

That one is custom bios, different league lol. Will kill card faster 100%.
No stock card can bench over 1450 without raising TDP and core lol.
