Is Adam Boghdan able to replace Mignolet if Simon fumbled again?

More of a replacement for brad jones. But bodgan has played for bolton as no 1 most of the time so I think shd be adequate backup for mignolet if he off perform.

Don't worry, we can do a remy type of medical for him

Say he got heart problem to call off the transfer

this time we could offer something new.
"our resident fortune teller has advised against signing him as his 8-character is found to be clashed with lfc. in fact, we would not be signing any more brazil national players as they are believed to be in sauyness for quite sometime. "

oh, boring boring sunday morning=:p

Roberto Firmino must shoulder the burden of £29m price tag after Liverpool new boy has off night for Brazil

Liverpool fans will hope Roberto Firmino had one of those nights and he will get it out of his system before he puts on the red shirt next season.

With a £29million price tag weighing on his shoulders, he will be expected to light up Anfield, alongside fellow Brazilian Philippe Coutinho, but the only thing he illuminated in Concepcion was the linesman's electronic board when he was substituted.

Brazil were dumped out of the Copa America by Paraguay on penalties after a 1-1 draw in their quarter-final tie.

The former 1899 Hoffenheim man was part of an attack that only managed five goals in four games. By contrast, hosts Chile scored 11.

Firmino was all over the place, but not in a good way. The Brazilian went left and he went right, hoping to find space, searching for the ball. But he found very little of either.

After six minutes he came inside from the right, but Paulo da Silva came across and dumped him on to the turf. A foul, and the sort of challenge he will come across week in, week out in the Premier League.

Firmino is up for the fight, but that was his only contribution of note in the first half, with the exception of a 'non-action' during the move for Brazil's goal.

Barcelona full-back Dani Alves pulled the ball across from the right and Firmino avoided making contact with it, letting it run for Robinho to turn home from deep inside the box.

But to point to that as a highlight of his game would be to both clutch at straws and to emphasise how little he was able to contribute as Brazil failed to get the better of their less illustrious rivals at the Alcaldesa Ester Roa.

This performance was generally in keeping with his other displays so far this tournament, where he has struggled to dominate any game.

Firmino was only given 15 minutes in Brazil's first Copa America match, against Peru, but was picked up front ahead of Diego Tardelli for the Colombia clash.

The attacker did not excel himself; nobody in a Brazil shirt did. Instead he contributed what might go down as the miss of the tournament, slamming the ball over the crossbar with the goal gaping.

Former Brazil star Ronaldinho thinks the combination could lead to huge things for Liverpool, saying: 'The creativity, intelligence and goals they have between them can change Liverpool as a team. It is a big sign of intent.'

But between them at this tournament Coutinho and Firmino have failed to offer a fraction of the spark which the former Barcelona playmaker could summon with a mere flick of his boot.

After 69 minutes Firmino made way for Tardelli, after a performance which saw him run hard, but with no joy. He watched, leaden-faced from the sidelines as his team were eliminated on penalties.

Firmino made fewer successful passes than any other Brazilian who started the game, and was behind only Dani Alves on his side in terms of misplaced ones, and balls lost.

Ex-Liverpool defender Markus Babbel described the £29m fee as 'brutal' - and that's what the reaction will be if Firmino doesn't settle down quickly on Merseyside.

One piece of good news for Liverpool is that Firmino and Coutinho will be ready to join up with the squad in pre-season earlier after this premature elimination from the Copa America.

But it remains to be seen whether Firmino can handle the pressure of playing for a side with so much expectation on their backs.

Funny. Football guarantee win one?

Every footballer has off day. Usually scouts would keep tabs on players over a period of time.

Think we got enough of midfielders...time to get a quality striker.(not benteke pls )

We have many midfielder but we got no proper DM. Only can say Lucas is one and Can is not your typical DM.

Many fans and managers don't seems to appreciate what a good DM can bring to the team.

We need a solid **. Skrtel unsure of his commitment to LFC due to contract, Lovren prone to mistakes and Toure is getting aged. In fact all our CBs are either mistake proned or aged players.

Need at least two CBs young ones.

Of course a DM is a must as well.
