Hi all, I've a quick question about using fan hubs. I'm looking to get one because my motherboard doesn't have enough fan headers for every fan I have and as a simple solution, I'm considering getting this Deepcool fan hub. One end is connected to the mobo, then on the hub itself it splits 4-way to allow connection of up to 4 fans.
My question is: considering that it does not get any external power (i.e. from the PSU), is it safe (for the fans, for the hub, and for the fan header) for one fan header to be powering 4 fans? I'm not knowledgeable in physics or electrical engineering, so I don't know if this is a valid concern at all. But I just want to be safe.
If it matters, the fans I'll be connecting it to are 2 Gentle Typhoons AP-15s and 2 Noctua NF-P12s. They are all 3-pin connectors and I am intending to run all at 100% constantly.
Will appreciate any input. Thanks!
