Honestly though, I doubt the government can enforce the tax on it's people. Unless they are serious about enforcing those stuff, the proposal is just a kicking the can down the road act.

Side note: Wonders why CMG can rise and grow at such a phenomenon rate when fast food is generally not the trend already.

Usually the most difficult part is opening the account. Once that's done, the most difficult part is to stop yourself from trading.

Red sea will come every once in awhile, don't sweat this small miss.

oh no....
its very easy to not trade..
i have to wait for pay, then pick the counters i wants, estimate how much to split per counter, ask to permission, wait for night fall to order

very LOL

i use E*Trade, put down about USD 1-1.5k every 1-2 months

edit: if i shop more (like end of year sales), buy a drone (haha) or spend on entertainment then no need to buy liao LOL

I agree...get all your backend stuff sorted now. There will be more sea of reds in the very near future with the greece turmoil and earning reports stopping a lot of blue chips from buying back shares. Opportunities are there....just get your stuff sorted on the back end. :)

Why don't use IB?
Isn't it cheaper with IB spot exchange to USD?

Anyway, I look at my biggest losses overall, top 3 is CVX, COP, XOM. To think I enter after the oil plunge.:s22:

Following that is IEP, ETP albeit much smaller loss...
Others include some reits.
Should look to trim some while the land is green.

My shopping is every night buying companies of value when the SALES sign goes up, it's always very tempting.

i am tempted to trim GILD..it is a great earner right now...but i think with the blackout this is a stock the market will play...thinking of trimming and buying back later...before GILD can buy back again. DIS is a different story...that I will keep and keep it going....regardless...

IB charges USD1 per trade minimum?
The fees per month is just $10 which can be deducted from trade comm too.
If you buy every month, likely you would hit it anyway?
Not to mention the USD/SGD low exchange spread.

NBG stock now at $1.26....

I'm wondering if I should sell my NBG stock. Got in last week at $1.18.

SELL THEM BEFORE THE CLOSE TODAY. I AM NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY EXAGGERATING.

The Greek banks are all completely fuçked. They're going to need billions of dollars of capital even if a bailout goes through, sez Reuters; shareholders are most likely going to get diluted into oblivion. And if there's no deal this weekend, they're probably never going to reopen, sez the FT.

So if there's a deal, you get crushed; if there's no deal, you get wiped out completely. And either way, it's going to happen this weekend.

In your opinion, it will still not be good to hold out for the euphoric rise after the deal goes through? I put in my sell order @ 1.27.

Nah. You're basically flipping a coin - if the deal goes through, you make some money on Monday morning maybe (if you're quick on the Sell button at 9:30 Eastern); if it doesn't go through, NBG never reopens and you've just trashed 100% of your money. Not a great risk-reward.

And it may not even pop on Monday - everyone knows the Greek banks need a lot more capital, so any pop is going to be leaned on hard as people sell before the inevitable capital raising.

Update: besides, you've made like 8% in a week, that's a pretty great return. Don't be a dick for a tick - just hit the 1.26 bid. Holding out for that extra 0.01 might cost you the whole 1.27 if it goes pear-shaped on Sunday.

ST is right. you should have sold and lock the profits. holding=gambling and its not worth the risk.
