I predict that it's going to be a rough earnings season this quarter?

Why? Because US companies are going to engage in "big bath" behavior; specifically, take advantage of the higher USD to blame their woes on.

Haha, perhaps someone who has actually done it? Anyone try from local brokerages to IB before?

Another issue is, how much does it cost and is it by
per counter or
per counter per lot?

I called up today. No much help. The person who answered don't even know of IB. When asked how much it would cost to tranfer out,she said no charges. When asked how to do it,she said visit any branch to fill out a form.

I'm not sure.

It would be great if someone who has done it can chime in. So far, no one has been able to shed more light.:(

i have not done any transfers out of a broker other than CDP. what i know, a good broker will be able to absorb any charges and handle all incoming shares. you just need to initiate from 1 side.

Got paypal shares? I'm interested to buy after the hype die off.

V and MA, SBUX, MNST, LMT up big,
AAPL breaks $130! results should be very good.
GLD going down fast.

Not too long ago I was still buying MNST at $129... now it's already $142.70. 10.69%.
V and MA also did well, especially V breaking above $70. 33% and 10% returns.
SBUX has rose 8% since I bought it...
DIS is very near the fabled 50% MOS... Time to average down?

Others doing well includes WFC, NKE, MO, LEG, GERN, HQL, GILD, PFE, BA. Each of them earning above 10%.

Most energy stock continues downward...

Stock market continue to thrive.
NASDAQ hits record high yet again. Should be got a part driven by Google, FB and AAPL...

Aapl falling below 6% to 121.xxUSD despite rise in profit, anyone taking position?

Sent from nokia 3310 using GAGT

Me! I have two puts at AAPL $128.
Guess I will have to get exercised for AAPL.

AAPL is really a great example of stock market irrationality.

Amazon, Tesla etc - we dont make money yet but whoooooa, look at my stock price!

Apple - we are making bucketloads of money, punish us for doing so! :s13:

couldn't agree more and recently US market tends to be overreacting on news. but definitely is a good news for value investor, its a entry point.

Down almost 7%.....looks like it is the right time to average up...nice gift. Overreaction for sure....if it drops further...definitely backing up the truck.

was wondering if i should transfer some of my cash savings to stock up given that market overreact.. missed it earlier for AAPL when it was $120. now it seems back!

However, i do need the cash in 2 mths time.... pondering if it would be a bad risk if market tanks for more than 2 mths... :o
