KWSW,

I know where you are coming from. I am just asking what is the download speed obtained by using this configuration?

Ont---router---PL1800E-----PL1800E---PC

All I need is to check if the homeplug is behaving as what it should suppose to before I move on to check further.

But it seems that you are reluctant to disclose the download speed for some reasons.

Hi,

maybe I am mis-reading your post or something but you have always been giving me the impression that it will not work in the ONT - PL1800E - PL1800E - Router - Device which I want to do and you keep saying have to work in the ONT - Router - PL1800E - PL1800E - Device which of course I am saying I want it in the ONT - PL1800E - PL1800E - Router - Device setup.

So if I missed out you asking me to first test if the homeplugs are working I apologise but since you are saying that it dont work in this setup, does it matter if the homeplugs work?

Unless it is suppose to work in this setup then sure I dont mind taking apart my network to try the setup to test if the homeplugs work.

Do advice.

Perhaps there is a miscommunication.

Is there a number where I can reach you ? It will be better that way.

let me see if i got time after work to test it as just a simple lan connection to see if the PL1800E works functionally.

Will PM you if its really the homeplugs issue else if the homeplugs are working fine than like you been saying, its a compatibility issue as this is MIMO and not like the older generation SIMO so either way also not going to work in the setup I want.

so in all fairness to close the loop, the PL1800E works on its own (using it to substitute a lan cable connecting pc to router) except what I want it to do which is Starhub ONT to PL1800E to PL1800E to Router to PC due to compatibility problems as Sineoji has mentioned.

As mentioned in my earlier post, it is a costly $135 mistake to buy it thinking that if the old technology AV SIMO works, the new AV2 MIMO works like a lan cable connection over powerline.

Guess I will look at other brands.

Will plugging the PL1800 to a power strip have any effect on the connectivity?

Sent from Xiaomi 2014817 using GAGT

Noirkw,

We always encourage to have the PL1800E plug directly to a wall socket instead of power strips for best results.

Plugging onto power strips may affect the connectivity. If you are running out of wall sockets, go for the PL1800EP which has a pass through version.

KWSW,

Can I schedule our staff to come over and perform a test with a firmware to determine if it helps with your current configuration ?

Let me know.

KWSW,

We are unable to release the firmware openly as it is still under DVT.

We can accommodate to your schedule even on weekends and public holidays.

Let me know.

Hi a total noob here. So what IS a Homeplug is all about? Is it suppose to be used where you are unable to get wireless signal or the signal is weak.

It's amazing u'd rather post and wait for answer rather than google for an answer yourself. Lol

Homeplug Data is lit but no data is sent through

Hi I got 3 Sineoji units, was working until today when no data is being sent through the network.

All lights are lit on steady green. I tried restarting and even resetting the network pairings, still no use.

The direct connection to the router works with my laptop, but the homeplugs seem to have just stopped transmitting internet.

Please advise. Thanks

Zeratul306,

It seems that your homeplugs are not paired when the data light is off.

Follow this video to pair your homeplugs.

Hi, I have sent you a pm Sineoji, I have a set of HL1800EP that only gives me speeds of 60-70 mbps on speedtest but direct ethernet to router gives me 600-700 mbps, I am currently on M1's fibre broadband plan and have flashed the firmware.

Any advice or steps I can take to correct the issue?

Thank You

Hi kennethtk,

Is there a number where I can reach you to schedule our staff to come over today to diagnose your powerlines ?

Dear Seah

As per request, our support staff visited your residence and setup the Sineoji Powerline Wireless Extender in your master bedroom.

Perform a measurement of the wireless signal coverage when the door is closed. Your router signal "Joe-1" is obviously weak in thr master bedroom while the Sineoji Powerline Wireless Extender gives you 100% wifi coverage.

Hope everything is well.

Thank you for using Sineoji HomePlug Powerline Wireless Extender.

how to update firmware for MAC user?

i'm not from sineoji, but i think the flash tool is only available in .exe format for the time being. therefore you can only use the windows os to update.

if not, perhaps sineoji might be able to help u update at your phone if u die die no windows pc? haha :D
